If you found out that your boyfriend was into yaoi, how would you feel? I mean, he's still into you, but he also likes looking at pictures of Taichi and Yamato getting it on. Would you have a problem with this?

Either there are no girls on this board (and I could have sworn there were) or the girls that are here are gay and aren't even into guys. Those are the only two possibly explanations for this that I could come up with.

Still, I'm just curious how a typical girl here would react to this situation. Anyone?

I'm not a girl, but since you gave me advice, let me take a stab at this. I would think that it would depend on the girl. If she's into macho guys who are straight in absolutely every way (very few women fall into this category, because the manliest men aren't sensitive), then you could be in trouble. If she doesn't mind a guy with a sprinkle of fairy dust, then you should be fine. It should be your first priority to get to know your girlfriend, not only because she should interest you, but because you never know when a situation like this will arise. Besides, it's the right thing to do. It's the good thing that will separate you from the macho guys. I'm sorry if I offended anyone in the text above.

Thanks for the advice. Mind you, I don't have a girlfriend right now (though there is a girl that I wouldn't mind getting to know better, even though I've only known her for less than a month -- that's another topic altogether, though) but I'd like to believe that it's possible that there are actually some girls out there who wouldn't be completely freaked out by such a situation. All my life I've grown up surrounded by girls with small minds and strict morals, and I've yet to really get to know any girls who could intelligently think through issues like this. Yeah, I like yaoi, but that doesn't make me gay (maybe it makes me bi, but we've already been over that before). It wouldn't change how I'd feel about my girlfriend (if I had one), but I haven't met any girls so far that I think could come to understand that.

Basically, all through high school and college (yeah, I'm fresh out into the real world now) all I ever knew were girls who would giggle or scream out "Ewwwww!" if they saw two guys kissing on TV or even just holding hands. Now I'm not a super-effeminent guy and I think that if I ever meet the right girl that I could meet her needs (though I'm definitely not a dominating male chauvinist, as too many girls I've known seem to be looking for), but I'd feel better if I knew that she was cool with me being who I am, which definitely isn't a flaming homosexual, but you know what I mean.

I like to think that masculinity and femininity exists in all of us, though usually one is stronger. I mean, I can't fight (and don't want to fight) the fact that I'm probably more masculine than feminine, but I know that I don't conform to gender expectations as much as most people do, and I'd like to find a girl that's okay with that.

More than anything, I'd like to meet someone who I could be completely comfortable around and who would listen to me and understand me for who I am. I really want to do the same for someone else, and that's really what matters to me, not getting off to homoerotic (or any other kind of) mangas.

I hope I didn't scare them off. I sometimes worry that I do, even though I know that I'm just being paranoid. I'm usually really quiet around girls, and unfortunately I've been told that's something that girls don't like. They like loud, vocal guys, and I definitely don't fall into that category.

On the subject. There are straight guys out there that like to look at male/male stuff. does it turn them on? maby maby not. But that same type probably would never do it. Hes straight. Gots a girl. BUt likes to look at yaoi. Hell I dont judge people based on their pr0n.
