Don't we like to theorize? And hey, new Digimon. And Female at that. That's cool. Besides, odds are they may not do anything with her at all.

Well, I was kind of waiting for the shinigami to just be a stalker that tries in vain to kill Taiki for about a dozen more episodes...

That wouldn't have been fun. And maybe more trope-y.

This is the third "Bad guy who turns good" in the show, and we are only in the thirdteen episode!

That's just how Taiki is. Plus they killed all his friends. They deserve it.

Ba'almon was never really evil in the first place.

Yeah. That too. So it wouldn't have worked anyway.

They called him shinshigami for a reason, he may have wanted to get revenge, but he killed lots of innocents Digimons before Taiki was "Blessed" by the godness. Unlike Dorulumon, who may have belived in the "cause" at first, he was only in the army cause he wanted revenge and willing to kill anyone if that meant fulfilling his objective.

Evil is the eye of the beholder. He could just be a Chaotic Neutral.
Let's let Batman explain.

Yeah, he had a tragic history and secret motives, but he was still an assassin for the Bagura Empire. He's a sympathetic character, but he wasn't a good person. Well, at least until the Goddess "spoke" to him.
