Dicks on the internet!
#1
Hey guys,

What's up? I am posting this rant for my friend, I have mentioned her several times before here (sometimes not in the most positive fashion). Her name is Khaybat and she is one of my best friends.

She lately made the mistake of giving her number to this guy in Florida, and now this fucking asshole wont leave her alone! First, he just sent her a bunch of sexual innuendos via text message, and she let it slide. I personally think she is too nice with this kind of crap. She talked to the guy and tried to get off on a better foot! Now this dick is asking for nude pictures of her!

So this is my rant: Why do there have to be sons of bitches on the internet?!?

This site is a jewel; it is full of nice people! You guys are all great, and I could talk to even the meanest person here and not get offended, and they probably wouldn't approach me with such a request! But why do there have to be assholes to ruin it for the rest of us?

See that guy, he's a drifter! But drifting leads to Bickering, Bickering leads to Karate, and Karate leads to flying around between windows and shit! Then a big guy starts shooting lightning everywhere and Kurt Russell Shows up and Kicks his Ass!

The way I describe it is anonymity gives people the balls they otherwise wouldn't have in real life.

Can't fight someone. Spam there inbox.

When I saw the name of this, I thought it was about something else entirely... But anyway, here's my advice on the subject..

Ignore people you can't stand whenever possible.

Don't give out phone numbers and addresses to anyone unless you know you can trust them first.

In the case of your friend.. Tell her to tell him to stop, and if he won't, then she should report it to the police.. Yea, they may give her a lecture on internet safety, but they could help with getting a no contact order in place, if they can't simply have him arrested for harassment.
I am not Toph! I am Melon Lord! Muahahahahaha!

Ha. I knew someone would think porn.
And it's part of the human experience. People have very little recourse for their actions so they will act as horrible as they can.

Mute Point is awesome because I thought the same thing she did. XD

But yeah. Unknown is right. For every nice person, there is at least one jackass. It's some sort of balance mumbo jumbo. Just knowing that they're out there already prepares you for dealing with them. Let your friend know that they are out there, though I'm pretty sure she had to have learned something from this. If not, tell her straight up. You're her friend; she should definitely trust you enough to take your advice on the issue.

I hope this gets cleared up. Your friend does sound very nice and she is most certainly a victim. That dick should get punished big time.

Yeah, Masquerade is right about the balance thing... can't have light without the dark.

I think this tactic might scare him off, if he's asking for nude photos of her, have her find a porn pic of an old woman and send that instead. Either that will have him running or... I don't know >.<'

WOn't work though if he knows already what she looks like tho ':/
Nyaa... Will be around but not very much.

People are assholes on the internet because if they were assholes to people in real life, they'd get their asses handed to them. Simple as that. It's like Dr.Gabu here said: Anonymity gives people the balls to do things they'd never even think of doing in real life.

Or as Garfield puts it:

Truth be told: there are as many assholes in real life as there are on the internet. The difference is: they're farther away, so they get to be jackasses in a -different- manner. By the by, asking for nude pics is considered sexual harassment. ;)

Yup. And can get you into the slammer.
Light and Darkness, the balance for which is the Shadow--the perfect sphere of order. One cannot live without the other...

PICS NAO! J/k mrgreen

Anyway, you're always gonna run into someone who's an ass, either online or offline. Often people are more of an ass online because they feel safer doing it because they think they can't be hurt. But everyone has their weakness and only the wise know that they are to treat others with respect if they have any hope of receiving any themselves.
