World of warcraft battlenet account merge

Okay, so here's the problem..

I stopped playing WoW back before the Wrath of the lich king expansion, before the battlenet merge thing.. And now that I want to pick the game back up.. I go to merge the account so I can log in, and it says my account login is invalid.

Is there a fix I can do to this myself? do I need to contact support? Or did blizzard do what they said they never do and remove my account?

you got a battlenet account? and you should be able to renew your account. i think if you have a battlenet account you can merge from there....though its been a few months since i've done the merge so i may be wrong.

I signed up for the battlenet account before I tried this.

Update though, I managed to figure it out thanks to the (mostly useless) support menu. I had to reset my password to remind blizzard that my account still existed.. but then it worked just fine. Yay, killing time now.


Actually more like.. Yay, hours of patching time now.. booooo!

aye...try playing the Public Test Realm...patch hell if you ask me.
