Ibiza-how is the island?

Has anyone been to the island Ibiza? How is it? I always wanted to visit the Island, since watching the film More(1969) and thought how cool it was back in '69, is it still great there or not, just wondering.

I imagine it's a tourist trap full of western people getting high on illegal substances, dancing on beaches and vomiting on underpaid workers of the opposite sex in the morning that they somehow seduced into getting into bed with them.

I've never been, but all the famous places are all the same when it comes to tourism: ruined. The south of France, main cities of the west coast of America, New York, London, Paris, Sydney, the Bahamas...you get the picture.
