My Leaving Certificate Examinations started yesterday, June 3, 2009, Wednesday. Despite my teachers, my parents and even my classmates reminding me to study weeks prior to the start of the exams, I did nothing of the sort.

So yesterday, I did honors level English, paper one, imaginative composition. It was tedious, but not hard. I'm certain I didn't get a very high score as I lacked sleep and couldn't be very imaginative. The exam started at 9:45AM, and ended at 12:30PM. On my way home, I decided to study for my honors level English, paper two, which is about poetry, plays and several novels... many of which I've read only once.

When I got home, I changed my clothes and instead went to the cinema and watched "Angels and Demons". I returned home totally stoked and tired. I fell asleep and woke up at 1 FREAKING A.M. in the morning, THURSDAY. JUNE 4, 2009. I studied nothing, and I am going to FAIL!!

I dump all my English books, novels, poetry books, notes and past exam papers all over my bed ('Macbeth', 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time', 'Philadelphia, Here I come!', 'Cinema Paradiso' notes, notes on six poems by Elizabeth Bishop, Michael Longley and Derek Walcott, each!) and look at them. Overwhelmed by panic, I desperately tried to take in as much information as I could, fueled by an entire bottle of Coca Cola: Zero.

2:12AM. Everything was on the floor, and I lay in bed, masturbating violently and yelling "OH GOD!! OH GOD!! I'M SO GONNA GET RAPED BY THAT EXAM!! OH GODDD!! IF ONLY IT WERE POSTPONED!! I'D FREAKING PASS THAT MOTHERFUCKER!!"

After climaxing all over my headboard (turns out, stress improves the intensity of orgasms!), around 3:42AM, daddy calls from work and says that the exam papers for ordinary and honors English paper 2 had been leaked.

Basking in the afterglow of my desperation, panic, mild arousal and awe, I got a moment of epiphany concerning me and my study habits.

It is 5:07AM and I am posting this irrelevant and totally pointless thread for the sake of chatting. Its not a rant! I'm just in so much awe and wonder right now that I had to share it! Also, my right hand's tired and sore from all that turbo-pump action, so I sort of can't do anything else.

...So, do you guys have any past experiences involving stress and/or exams you can share? Or any problems that seemed to have vanished just when you were dreading them the most?

A day and about 8 hours ago I grabbed my Maths I notebook and the notebook of a classmate's I had borrowed, and spent some yay-3 hours studying everything I could cram up in my head. The end result was mid-favorable, as I could memorize and remember all I had studied for my exam (Which was exactly 15 hours ago), but unfortunately that was around 40% of the exam; since I was so nervous, I also screwed up. That stupid limit was Zero, not Infinite. ALL THE FREAKIN' PROCESS OF THE CALCULATION AND I MISTAKE A ZERO FOR INFINITE! That's kinda depressing, but I felt good at least I learned some stuff I doubt I'd have learned if I had kept so emo about Maths. Now, time to study Theory for Admin. I officially hate Peter Drucker.

Advice that is endless, just get it over with. =p
Incuding homewok, yeah you can play on games and stuff, but then when it comes to exams your in trouble, do ya revise...or do ya do your homework that was due in last month?? But of cource if ya get it done you can play games ^.^
Damn i hate exams getting in the way of my games. :(

Two days ago, they announced that 25 people would be laid off from my store. Didn't say from where, but they said that they would look for anything.

Being on the phone while on the floor, taking too long to stock, taking too long breaks, overtime, missed days. All of these coulda got you the pink slip.

So, basically, for the last two days, I was working like a stockboy on crack. I jumped from department to department, aisle to aisle. Towards the end of last night, I was literally swallowing back bile. Not vomit, pure stomach acid.

Ouch, but trust me, the exams are difficult but give yourself some credit, your smarter than you think and teachers (pretty much all of them) over teach you, they just get a list of stuff to teach but only half of it might be on the exam, I didn't revise for my SR exam and an A* was there just because I knew more than I thought I knew, so relax a bit and don't panic, revise hard if you need to, but if you panic its all for nothing. Several years ago, during my secondary school...

Everytime the exam getting close, I normally read certain chapters only for an hour and then sitting in front of computer, browsing DaD and downloading stuff. I burn more than 60% of my free time in front of computer. I didn't take the exam seriously.

Once the national exam comes, which determines wether I'm applicable to enter local government university, I'm still stick with my old habit. I knew I can do just average on most subject, except Additional Maths.

About 6 months later, I receive a result. As expected I got one subject fail, which is Additional Maths. And, I end up studying at private college instead of local university, taking Diploma in Multimedia, my most favorite course.

I do hate exam sometimes, but when I see in real-world perspective, exam is just another memorizing stuff, not into logical thinking.

My final exams for the school year start tomorrow and end next Wednesday, but I don't think I'll masterbate about that ^^' But I'm not going to study either. It never helps -_-

I studied for my math exam a few minutes before, browsing it for the info and formulas I was weak on....and I think I got 47 points out of 56. It sucked. I made careless word choice errors, and forgot the positions in certain formulas, as well as not using common sense on one of the problems. I think my final grade was around 78-85%, I know it's either a C or a B, but that's low considering I studied just before the test....
