It was some years ago and now it's bugging me to read it again but I can't remember the name of it or if it's still around. It was an alternate ending of Adventure where the choosen had failed to down Piedmon and there were dark scenes such as rape. Piedmon's regime was put to an end a few years later when 02 team was pulled into the mess. What I remember at the end of fanfic, Mimi needed some therapy to get over her years of horror.
Another fanfic: Tai quit the team when all came back to the world to search for the 8th child and he found out it was Kari. But Kari was too sick to handle the adventure and so they had moved away, leaving the rest to defend on their own. Eventually Tai and Kari came back to finish up the mess but Kari had died in the end.
