what could putting magnet's in my ears do to my brain?
#1
Question
my portable media player has 'earbuds' speakers that set inside my ears, the magnitizem is so strong that they push against each other with a fair force, and i got to thinkin'... what could this do to my health? ya i guess this is a half joke since they are a common product and i am sure are tested and all, but still the idea is kinda well odd to me to have little magnets in my ears for four to five hours at a time, almost daily! and the thought is real , that i wonder if it could be bad for me in someway? ya know? Huh

This is about the only thing that I could find on the subject, JL. I hope it's helpful to you.

I used to wear my headphones, for several hours each and every morning, when I used to have paper route jobs. And...I don't believe I've suffered any ill effects, from all that exposure. (Except for a constant craving for rock music. :P)

Well an MRI scan uses Magnetism, and the only real harm that can do is rip any conductive metals from your body. Basically magnets won't hurt you, not without something metal and magnetisable placed near or on you in a way it can be used as a projectile.

But apparently if you let someone put sperm in your ear, it's said you can go deaf. This is probably just bollocks, but it's pretty interesting.

The only way it could be bad that I can think of right now is if you put your head between two industrial strength magnets and have your skull crushed like a grape.

There could be some credibility to that theory, considering that blood contains a lot of iron. But that may not be as much increasing blood flow as it would just focus blood flow to one point. A more practical and less stupid alternative is to just take Viagra.

Unless you have "it" up for more than five hours and have to go to the hospital with "flagpole syndrome".
