My Final Exam Artwork

[Lost]

For the final exam in my art class, we had to come up with a drawing and make 3 different kinds of color themes for it. Mine was created from a sketch earlier in the term the teacher liked, and suggested I used that.

I recreated it entirely in Photoshop CS3, and mirrored it so that it's symmetrical on all sides.

The idea I got for the environment comes from the control room from Halo. Here is the line drawing.



Here is the first coloring, which has been unanimously chosen by everyone so far as the best one.



Here is the second, where I used a much more violent theme. I also used a different brush to get a different feel to it.



Here is the third, where I used a "Starburst" brush.

Out of all of them I agree with Mister Big T, your strongest composition is the first. The use of lights and darks enhances the image ten fold and increases your eye flow to your middle point. Your third is a second place but I think you should have tried to use a little more darks to make your eye really move. Your middle one with flames needs to have a better contrast.
