Anyone up for a twisted metal-style RP?

A group of people, driving ramshackle, armor-plated vehicles, armed to the hilt with missles, explosives, and guns, all vying for the same prize: what their heart desires most.

I would of course play Calypso, and play in it, as well.

I have dibs on Darkside, just because I love that bigass truck.

I need some help on this, so, feel free to ask questions, or suggest ideas.

I have only played Vigilante 8, so i don't think i can play this kind of RP...

unless you can make one LIKE Twisted Metal and Vigilante 8 only with players choosing vehicles from a certain time period (say 1970s to around 2005), given a list of weapons to attach to their vehicle and given a limit of how many weapons they can use.

Well if it's like the game the characters would have to kill each other in order to win the game, leaving only one player character alive in the end (who would then be killed by his or her own wish). That would make it difficult to because all but one player would have to agree to have their character killed.

I kinda like the sound of that. Only thing is how would it be started out and what would you need in the profile or others character and vehicle?

The profiles and vehicles would be a pain in the ass, along with the fact only one person would be alive at the end of the game.

...maybe set it up like Death Race? Where deaths are purely accidental?

Hmm... perhaps. Another idea I have is using a respawn system for each round. Once we come to conclusion in one round having a victor, we can start a new round after the intermission for the losing characters to patch up and think about a new strategy.

As for making out the profiles, you can always start with the basics:

Name:
Gender:
Species:
Age:
Appearance:
and what not.

As for your vehicle for your character:

Ride: (what kind of vehicle your using, and perhaps use a link for picture to make it easier)
Covering: (what you have on your ride that keeps it well protected, like what your using for armor and where do you have it placed)
Weaponry: (what kind of weapons do you have attached to your ride. Everyone always has a machine gun attached as default, and you may have 2 other weapons such as missiles and whatever else you can think of)

Thats all i can come up with atm.

We can have a list of preset weapons they can choose from, and, maybe, have them come up with a special for their vehicle.

...and NO Sweet Tooth Special from Twisted Metal: Black. That's Overkill.

I'll try to name some from the game if I remember, some I might make up:

- Frozen Missile (Once it come in contact with a target, the targets vehicle is slowed down by having large ice build up for a short time until it melts)
- Napalm Shot (Once hit, vehicle is engulfed with fire for a short time)
- Homing Missile (Simple as it is, small missile that travels for sometime until it hits target, lock-on may take small amount of time)

... That's all I can come up with... D:

Well, here's what I remember from TM:B

-Fire Missile: same as Napalm

-Power Missile: powerful, unguided missile

-Homing Missile: Guided Missile, able to lock onto a target

-Ricochet: a disc-like weapon capable of bouncing off of obstacles.

-Gas Cans: self explanatory. A can filled with gasoline. Makes a big fireball.

-Zoomy: a special pick-up only, shoots up to 20 small, guided missiles.

-Environment: Varies from arena to arena.

-Machine Gun Upgrade: gives you 30, 60, or 90 higher-power bullets for machine guns.

-Turbo: basically Nitrous Oxide.



...that's all I can remember. I'll add more when they come to me.
