A joke by Adam Carolla explains the subject ,"Why would I ever get a genital piercing, I spend most of my time keeping my genitals away from sharp metal objects."

They can get really infected too, that area isn't known for it's cleanliness. I wouldn't mind it too much on a lover, but it's not my thing.

Yes, it's not such a big thing for some people. You may often times see it in somethings but the Female area there may be different then the Male area.

On a Lover as said in the quetion is usualy a turn off but on a masterbitory material it is a turn on.

I find piercings in general to be a turn off, but especially genital piercings. I can only imagine how painful those can be.
