The only Tom Clancy I've played is the original Splinter Cell and the gameplay and controls were too frustrating for me to handle for very long. I'm more used to the Metal Gear Solid formula where you can take your time if you want or you can run and gun. Are Tom Clancy's worth renting?

I wasn't too fond of Splinter Cell myself.

It depends on your interests. Check it out on Wikipedia if you want an idea of what it's like.
