Or just absorb it into the site. Like we were a couple of times before the site went down.

Well, well, well. It appears my time has run up. Because I'm on dial-up I've been putting off uploading a certain doujin. In the non-digimon section was a 100+ page doujin known simply as Marblekake. I cannot find it anywhere else so now I have to come here. I would be extremely grateful if someone would put it up somewhere. I would download the gift that zig has given us but, dial-up.

So I plea to the masses. Imagefap, photobucket, here, I don't care how or where I'm just asking politely that someone please post it somewhere. It's the only one left that I would like to have.

(And please no remarks on the sig, it's there because of this)

sendspace archives are now up. I split it up to accommodate their bandwidth limit, which is 1GB. There are 12 files, and you can download 4 per day if your connection is capable of it. if you can change your IP or use a proxy, you can get more. you'll need all 12 files before the archive will work. put the contained DHZ folder into a root drive to avoid pathing issues (i.e. so the final product is C:\DHZ).

I don't mean to revive a dead post but could anyone repost these files without all of the non-DHZ stuff? I'm pretty sure the majority of the space is taken by other sites. I would do it but my connection isn't good enough. Is that even the whole site? Anyway I'm sure a few people would appreciate it since otherwise it would take everyone multiple days to download it.

Also does anyone know the author that was on DHZ named Van? I can't find his stories anywhere.

some of those sendspace files got auto-pulled due to inactivity, so those are no good now.

Amazing. Why all the sadness, eh? Here we are on the Digiartists' Domain mourning over the DHZ.

Sonimon actually had sent me everything that was on the DHZ site back when I had planned to absorb them into us, but when Ketnar reported that he was "going" to be keeping the site going, I removed them from my computer, because they were taking up a massive amount of space, and I didn't want to upload them to our server yet because I have no idea how much it can hold and how much space is left. I didn't expect this to happen.

The thing is, now we're the only (or at least the most popular) Digimon-centered site there is outside of Japan. There is TONS of Digimon art on FurAffinity and FurNation and Yiffstar that we do not have. As far as I knew, nobody has ever been restricted from sending in doujins or comics of their own, nobody has ever been restricted from sending in flash animations, nobody has ever been restricted from sending in any Digimon-related work. It's just that nobody has.

I did love the DHZ, and I really wish it didn't go, but let's look at it this way: Here's the DaD, the "last Digi-site," I guess you could call it. Let's get things up to standard! Paintuser and I will do all the coding. You guys send in the work, and get others to send in their Digimon work. I had been discussing with the mods not long ago that the DaD never got the popularity boost it needed to get off the ground. Word of mouth is a great way to do it. If you know places we can put ads, please, let me know.

Where can you get your favorite pictures now, you ask? If we get this going, that place'll be right here.

The big reason for the DHZ existing was a split from our site a while back for various reasons. This is one of the larger conflicts:

The reason it became far more popular was the large amount of content. Chibi Renamon and I decided a while back that we were not going to be hosting any ill-gotten artwork. We removed the japanese mangas and other various artwork that we had no claims to. A lot of it is published by people that really are just trying to make a living selling their art, or have no clue that it was even taken in the first place.

The DaD was founded to let anyone post their art and lemons. I tried to always accomadate everyone. Posting art just for the sake of content is selfish. I really no longer have any real say in it, but I would strongly encourage content from sources that have not given permission not be posted.

Good point. The thing is that from alot of people's point of view, it doesn't matter because they don't intend to buy it anyway. Also in the case of manga people didn't even know where to buy it and they couldn't if they did. I'm not saying its right but its not like you would be stealing too many buyers, at least not in the case of manga.

Also have you seen any japanese sites like this one? I don't really look, but I would imagine there would have to be some huge ones considering how much more popular it is over there.

Some of the people who posted stories and art on DHZ might not even be around anymore so its really too bad if you couldn't contact them to post their stuff here even if you have copies of their work.
