According to wikipedia, Allende's death was considered a suicide, and a 1990 autopsy supported this.

Also, that very article credits him with bringing economic prosperity to Chile, even after his rule. Sure, he wasn't the perfect ruler (he was facing a communist insurgency during his rule), but he left Chile in great condition as far as economics, and Chile is now a prosperous country.

Chile is like any other country in Latin America except for Argentina: a few rich people (who cried for his death) and lots of poor ones. The middle class doesn't exist.

One thing for Cboy: Just because they are commies and socialists, does not mean you can kill them. All it means, is that they have dumb ideas about society. Actually, they are good ideas, but they are ideas that can never come to be.
