When the tamers and Digimon combine in season four, the tamers become nude, yet you cannot see a thing. Is there anything available online?

You mean season 3. Try youube. But there is really nothing to see. The Edit ny the Dub was totally pointless.

My guess is in such a bio-merge digivolution, humans lose their gender determing characteristics so they can better work together with their genderless partners. Sure, they all call Guilmon et al "he" and Renamon "she", but officially Digimon are genderless. Perhaps the kid have to share this genderlessness momentarily for the bio-merge digivolution to be a success.

Or maybe they were drawn that way anyways. Just because a character is drawn nude they do not always show the details. It's a show primarily for children, and I don't think the Japanese show their kids nudity.

Since I've never been there, my experience is 3rd hand at best, but I've heard that nudity in Japan, especially in advertising, is not a huge deal like it is in the western world. Men, women, children, it makes no difference.

Anyway, I like my explanation better! ^_^

Actually, in Season 4, the kids are nude as they become legendary warriors. It's the same vague sort of nudity as Season 3 though.

Your right about that, porn is not really a big deal over there. Here if you found a machine where you could win hentai in an arcade you'd be in huge trouble, but not there.
