Hey there^^

Renafan here again. I'm putting up all my new stories here first before they go up on the DaD from here on out. The first new stuff you'll see from me will be the first chapter of "Final Fantasy Digimon III". It's been a favorite series (as I've been told off and on), so I'm continuing it. For those of you not in the know, it's a crossover between Final Fantasy IX and Digimon Tamers, with some characters thrown in from other franchises for extra added flavor (like Nephilim from Xenosaga for instance). If you like my work, you can check it out on the DHZ or here when it merges with the DaD.

Final Fantasy Digimon III- Vol.1 Chapter 1:"Second Soul"

Description of Final Fantasy Digimon III:
The series will be divided into four volumes, each with thirteen chapters and one main cast composed of seven humans and seven partner Digimon. Each Volume or "Disk" if you will, will have a main focus. This volume is entitled "Twilight", introducing the new enemy that the Tamers will be fighting and the theme of the story. The story will also focus on a new concept, called the "Second Soul". Everyone, be they artifically or naturally born, is born with two souls. One is the consciousness, the life one takes for granted but the other is an unknown to the general population of the universe for reasons. The "Second Soul" is a potential, something that most but a select few are ever able to use. This soul, once active and aware of by the first soul, can only be used for one purpose.
The enemy of Vol.1, "Kau", is very much connected to the second soul as you find out in later chapters. More to come!

Disclaimer:For those of you who have not read this series before, I recommend you do so before reading this. There will be references to the past in the series, but this is set a year after events in the last chapter of FFD:X-2.


Prologue-

I felt the stinging pain of existence stabbing me in the back once again. It was a faint but fast pain, never quite leaving you until you have suffered completely. I have felt this pain ever since I came here, to this hellish non-existence. It is my own personal hell, designed to keep the one formerly known as Kuja safely within. His soul is no more, but I...his second soul, the potential every living being has when they are born to this world whether they are created artifically or naturally, have gained life and I seek vengeance. Who gave me this existence I wonder, this pain I feel now?

A seductive feline's voice called out to me.

She was standing at a mighty 6 feet tall she let me see, wearing nothing that I could see in my newly restored vision. She was covered entirely in purple and white fur and looked completely like an anthromorphic mix of a cat and rabbit, with rabbit like ears that were purple on the outside and white inside. She had a cat's purple tail, and bushy round purple shoulders. The round ball of purple energy I was, I still did not have a true form to call my own besides Kuja's body and she had come to grant me my wish...for a price of course.

I asked, curious.

The feline raised her arms, letting a boy come out from behind her back.

He was young, looking to barely reach sixteen. He had short blue hair and wore a mage's hat. He looked shy, and was closed inside. I felt a close bond between the two of these beings, something I have never quite felt before. What...was this, I wonder? Why did I not have any of this?

Mia shook her head, pointing out the fact that she could hear me think.



Mia smiled seductively, bringing her boy slave close to her breasts.

"Yes Mistress."Elk obeyed, partaking of the cat woman's breast milk, sucking on the left furry breast thoroughly and happily, milk running down his chin as a result.

The second soul of Kuja replied, curious.

Mia smiled, running a hand through the boy's blue hair.


Mia asked.





The soul replied.

Mia raised a hand, revealing the image of a meteor storm heading right for the planet of Gaia, one that would change its destiny forever...

Final Fantasy Digimon III-Vol.1:Twilight
Chapter 1:Second Soul

The sun of the Forgotten Continent beamed brightly down upon the trio of Ryo and Indramon, who had been reunited a mere six months ago thanks to some special circumstances. Indramon snorted, looking up to the bright sun and cursed it's hot rays pouring down upon his fur covered body, making him sweat immensely. Ryo didn't mind this, sleeping on the big guy's white mane hair, enjoying the heat of the sun pouring down upon his body. The two had been through a lot in the past few days, and they were looking forward to a sit down when they got to Madain Sari.

"How are you doing, Ryo?"Indramon rolled his covered eyes upward.

"Hmm?..."Ryo awoke, hearing the big guy's voice."Oh, just fine...tired, but fine."

"Good."Indramon went back to his walking, hoping to see Madain Sari soon."Is there nothing but canyons in this part of the continent? Blast it."

"Hey, don't get worn out on me now."Ryo yawned, stretching out."We have to warn Eiko and the Moogles about what's coming."

"Wouldn't it be best to join up with our friends first?"Indramon asked."After all, we are better off in greater numbers if we are to defeat what is coming."

"And let them hog all the glory for themselves?"Ryo laughed."Not a chance! I haven't had this much fun in a long time, and besides...I don't want to get them involved. They've been through too much as it is. Best to let them live their newfound lives since they only just begun."

"Ryo...you know it won't last."Indramon stopped in his tracks."Hold on, by the way...I'm going to sit down."

"Okay."Ryo clung to his partner's mane, as he felt a woosh of air and gravity pull him down as a giant thoom was heard throughout the land as Indramon sat down."Yeah, but it doesn't mean we can't let them have their happiness while it lasts, right?"

"It's been a year, and nothing has happened. Isn't that enough time?"Indramon snorted again.

"Oh, stop complaining already. I swear, you are stubborn."Ryo sighed, rubbing his head in his partner's mane hair.

"I'm not complaining...I'm just worried. Things are too quiet. There has not been a single disturbance in the time since Shangri-La was defeated."Indramon shifted his gaze."I'm worried that this thing...the Twilight...is coming sooner than we expect."

"I know."Ryo narrowed his eyes."But we can't let that get our spirits down. All we know is that the dragon itself is trying to hatch and that his 'Eyes' are going out of their way to make sure it happens."

As the sun intensified in heat, Ryo sat up on his partner's immense head and looked up, thinking of the past. Lara-Su...she had literially died to make sure he lived those six months ago when he and Indramon were finally reunited. A cult of Shangri-La's had taken him captive for their own purposes, and Ryo found them along with Lara. Long story short, Lara battled the leader of the cult (a surviving black mage by the name of Mr.284) and died in the process. Indramon has seen stuck by his side, and the two have developed a deep relationship to fill the void left by Lara's passing. Suffice to say, it hasn't been easy for neither one of them.

"Do you want me to shrink down?"Indramon asked.

"No."Ryo said."Wait until we get to Madain Sari, at least."

"R-Ryo."Indramon sat, his tail whishing against the solid brown earth below him."Are you comfortable being with me?"

"What kind of question is that? You're my partner, and I..."

"N-No, not that. The other."

"Oh. Indramon, what me and Lara shared was our own thing. Six months have passed, but I haven't forgotten her. I want to develop something with you now, something special that we can share together. We may not be able to have digitama together, but the love is the same. I love you, Indramon, and I wouldn't be with anyone else right now."

"I--I am glad you feel that way."Indramon blushed, unable to come up with anything to say."I...am amazed. I was your enemy before, and now you look at me with tender love every morning you awake to a new sunrise. It's a new experience for me."

"Hey, things change and this was for the better."Ryo smiled, jumping into his partner's newly formed right upper hoof."The gang doesn't know yet, but I'm sure they'll be cool with it."

"I hope so..."Indramon sighed, closing his eyes."H-Hey...I smell mint."

"O-Oh no."Ryo backed up in Indramon's hoof."C-Can't you wait?!?"

"I'm sorry, but you know I LOVE MINT!!"Indramon whinnied.

"INDRA--AUUUHGG!"Ryo felt a large tongue roll over his body, tasting the mint on his breath."A-Auh..."

"Funny, I cannot smell it anymore."Indramon held up Ryo close to his nose.

"Y-You licked it off."Ryo wiped the saliva off his face.

"Sorry."Indramon grinned."You'll live."

"Yeah, I'll...live?"Ryo went wide-eyed, seeing the sky above him contort and start to spread apart twisting.

The ground below the trio rumbled and started to shake with tremors never before felt on the Forgotton Continent. Qactuars and other fiends raced for the nearest hiding spots, as cracks opened up all around the trio and the two panicked and looked up to the sky seeing the image of a orange haired girl, with whited out eyes and a white dress on, holding her hands together, surrounded by a white aura. She looked sad, as if fate itself had dealt her the ultimate punishment for eternity.

"N-Nephilim?!"Ryo and Indramon shouted, amazed by the girl's entrance.

"A dragoon of great abilities, a Tamer who led all to great victories, and a self-styled Digimon King...they will be the ones who shine the greatest in this war against the Twilight. The Crystal, champion of the light, will give the power but the three must find the Key...the Key that will lead them to the defeat of the Twilight."The white eyed Nephilim warned."Bad tidings lay ahead but do not fear...use this, and begone of all worries."

"W-What?!"Ryo shouted, as a gray and white digivice appeared in his hand."W-What is this thing?!"

"The Digivice iC, able to use the Digisoul acquired from one's second soul. The second soul is forbidden knowledge, kept hidden by the Crystal in order to prevent great calamities to befall the world. Keep it's knowledge hidden well. Others you know will receive this technology and knowledge, so seek them out.
I came back into existence to give you this message...do not fail, for the universe will face a fate worse than any death can bring."

The tremors stopped, and Ryo looked around him. The skies were a clear blue, and the ground was still with Indramon looking around all the same to see where the little girl had gone. The King jumped from his Digimon's head and unto the ground, just as Indramon shrunk down to just above his head in size gazing around the field. He looked at the device in his hand, the iC that had been dropped into his hand from what you could literially consider the female version of God.

Gripping the rectangular plastic device, he held it up to Indramon who looked at it in curiousity to see what the devil it could be.

"A...new form of D-Arc?"Indramon snorted.

"No. No, this is different."Ryo looked at it."I'm confused here. We need some answers that perhaps Eiko can provide."

"Maybe...I..."

"KUPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!"A white moogle named Mosh came rushing towards them in a panic from far away in the distance.

"W-WHOA!!"Ryo held out his hands too late as the moogle rushed into him head on, knocking him to the ground hard.

"OW!"Both of them yelled as they landed.

"S-Sorry kupo...E-Eiko told me to hurry, so I flew as fast as my little wings could carry me so I..."

"That's okay."Ryo picked himself and the moogle up, looking sternly into his eyes."Just be more careful, all right?"

"Okay."Mosh wiggled out of Ryo's grasp, landing on the ground lightly, then bowing."Now...where was I?...ah yes...HELP COME QUICK!!"

"Is Eiko all right?"Indramon asked the moogle.

"THE EIDOLON WALL...EIDOLONS AREN'T THERE ANYMORE...COME ON!!"Mosh pull on Ryo's pant leg.

"Okay, okay...we're going."Ryo climbed on Indramon's back and wrapped his arms around his partner's neck."How fast can you run today, Indramon?"

"As fast as you want me to go, of course."Indramon rolled his eyes."Hang on, little moogle."

"K-KUPO?!"Mosh held close to Ryo's chest as Indramon charged off on two hooves towards the ruined city of Madain Sari.

North of where the trio was rushing off to aid the worried summoner, a lone dragoon was wandering the northern plains of the Forgotten Continenet lost in thought. She held her spear in one hand, and worry in the other though it wasn't very evident. Her name was Freya Crescent, and she was on a quest...a quest to find out why Henry was still alive but could wake up. He was not in a coma, nor was he unconscious. It seemed like he was in a deep sleep, one that he could be awoken from.

Freya slashed a nearby Qactuar that came near her, slashing it's prickly body in half and leaving it a motionless body.

Freya had been wondering that for six months now, ever since she stepped down as General and left Dan in her post. The kingdoms had fallen into disarray again, squabbling about economy and possible threats of war. Just when she thought things would go right for once, she was in the fray once more. She was done mourning though. Henry would wake up, one way or another. Some might have said she was abandoning her kingdom just when it needed her most, but this was personal. She could not serve her kingdom if her heart was broken in two.

Freya asked herself.

Freya stopped. A shift in the wind, a change in course indicated something was wrong. She heard the sound of faint footsteps behind her, and remained firm and steady as to ascertain if she had gone crazy or if someone had followed her through this forsaken desert that she was alone was walking through. Turning around to face whoever, her eyes went wide at the site of a familiar presence. It was Zidane, with two daggers in each hand, as if he were ready to do battle. His legs were spread out, his tail twitching, and sweat pouring down his brow. Something was wrong here.

"Zidane?"Freya asked quietly.

"uhh..."Zidane moaned, as if he were nothing but a soulless golem."F-Freya?"

"Why are you out here? Do you need help?"Freya loosened her grip on the spear.

"E-ENEMY!"Zidane yelled, looking at Freya with bloodshot eyes.

Something had taken hold of him. Quickly going on the offensive, Freya charged at the zombie-like Zidane sending her spear down but was only blocked by a single dagger. Freya was in awe at Zidane's sudden burst of strength, and changed tactics quickly hitting him from different angles spinning around only to find her weapon deflected every time! Freya kept this pace up, but nothing seemed to be getting through the boy's defenses. Metal clanged, but the boy kept deflecting the spear with one arm and a dagger.

Starting to tire, Freya put away the spear and flipped away, instead deciding to try and do some distance fighting. Zidane smiled, jumping over to Freya's front taking the Burmecian entirely by surprise and knocked her spear out of the way, kicking her to the ground. Freya gasped, grabbing the gut that Zidane had just so kicked without so much as a hesitation. Why was he doing this?! No time to ask questions it would seem, as Freya did a dodge roll to avoid the dagger that went into the ground where her head was!

"FIRAGA!"Freya shouted, snapping her fingers, summoning an explosion that forced Zidane back unto the ground, partially burned and smoking.

Freya quickly regained her composure, running to pick up her spear but Zidane frantically picked himself up and grabbed her by the neck in one hand and lifted her up into the air, effectively choking her. Freya felt the world around her beginning to leave her vision, the consciousness within her beginning to fade as Zidane held up his other hand into the air, it beginning to glow with a light blue aura. Freya felt a twinge of fear deep down within her begin to creep out and overwhelm her like the shadow of a tree overwhelms a full grown man. She couldn't help but stare as several circles of rotating ancient glowing symbols surrounded Zidane's wrist and he chanted something she couldn't quite make out.

"Twara ba dee...'Twilight Drain'."Zidane smiled pushing his hand hard into Freya's chest!

Freya gasped, shaking terribly as Zidane literially squeezed the heart of her soul and her very being was beginning to be sucked out, her very body violated by someone she had trusted with her life. Sweat rolled down her forehead, images of her past zipping past her vision at the speed of light. T-This couldn't end...not now. She couldn't die. She REFUSED to die! Mashing her teeth together, Freya gathered the last of her strength and dug her claws into Zidane's wrist, causing him to screech in pain like a wild animal and interrupted the process, phasing his hand out of Freya's chest. The Burmecian dropped to the ground, gasping and barely conscious...but alive.

"S-Strange."The Zidane said, looking down at her."You did not die as the other one did."

"Y-You will, though!"Freya bared her teeth, jumping at Zidane only to be slapped away by a hand to the face.

"Pity."Zidane said."He said you wouldn't give it your all, but it looks like he does not know you much at all."

"W-Wait...he...who?"Freya wiped her mouth, looking up at the smiling, now purple eyed Zidane.

"Zidane, of course."The boy smiled, putting his daggers away."He was worried I wouldn't kill you fast enough."

"WHO ARE YOU?!"Freya stood up."Are you behind Henry's state?! ANSWER ME!"

"Chill."The thief pointed a dagger at the dragoon."Is that anyway to treat the second soul of a hero who just awoke?"

"Hero?"

"Oh, yes."He smiled, running a hand through his hair."Think of a Zidane without a conscious, a Zidane without pitiful self values or love for others...just a Zidane who does what he wants, whenever he wants...all in the name of Twilight."

"As far as I'm concerned, you are NOT Zidane."Freya pointed her spear at him, weak as she felt.

"Oh, I am, but it's his second soul that you're talking to. It's a new concept for you, I know, but you must understand...forbidden knowledge can be a bad thing, you know. But you're right...I'm NOT Zidane. I Am Kau."Kau raised both his arms."And you, by decree, are a threat."

"Under whose decree?!"Freya retorted.

"Who cares?! All you need to know is that you are going to die a very disturbing death, but not yet."Kau narrowed his eyes."I want more...of a climatic battle. This battle is too small for my tastes."

"Kau."Freya sighed."Give me back Zidane."

"Oh, you'll have to rip me out."Kau giggled."Toodles."

With that, Kau phased underground leaving behind a very weakened and broken down in spirit Freya. Her act done, Freya dropped down to the ground, exhausted and chest pounding rapidly. She could feel her heart beating faster than normal, as if it had been taxed beyond the limit and then some. She could hardly breath, much less keep her eyes open. Giving in to her defeat, Freya's head fell to terra firma unconscious, the world leaving her vision completely as she succumbed stubbornly to sleep...

Sleep? Who could sleep at a time like this, she thought to herself in her last momenets of deep subconsciousness. She wanted to wake up, try and find out where Kau had gone, but she couldn't even move her fingers she was so drained. She felt like a ragdoll, worn out and torn from the inside. Dust blew past her, her still body an ample target for the fiends passing nearby. No fiend dear touch her though, not with the power she possessed. No, Freya found herself in a field of flowers instead in her mind, looking at Henry.

"Why are we here?"Freya asked, sitting in a rolled up position, her arms wrapped around her long slender legs.

"I wanted to bring you somewhere beautiful."Henry laughed.

"But everywhere is beautiful where you go."Freya teased him, eyeing the boy's face.

"Not as beautiful as this...the Iris."Henry picked one of the flowers."It's the only fertile area in the entire Forgotten Continent, and I wanted to show this place to you."

"Well, it smells nice."Freya admitted moving her clawed feet in the wet grass.

"That's a start."Henry sat down next to her, giving her a quick peck on the chin.

"So what's so special about this place that it benefits the kingdom of Burmecia, I ask you?"Freya looked up into the then orange sky.

"Well, that's what I told King Puck so I could bring you here, but it is the truth. You see, each of these flowers is special in its own way. But only a few of them contain something that I have found through research to beeeahhh!"Henry grabbed his neck as something bit him."W-What was that?! O-Oh no..."

"Henry?"Freya looked at him worriedly.

"F-Freya...they're coming...ahh, they won't let me say the name. Just get faraway from here and seek this place out again."Henry push at her."They'll be here, they're going to wipe us all out."

"What are you talking about?! Henry, you're going red in the face!"Freya put a finger to his neck just as he feel unconscious within her arms."HENRY?!!?"

"UH!"Freya forced her eyes open, finding herself in the arms of a pink bird Digimon known as none other than Biyomon.

"Steady there. You're malnourished, you need some food!"Biyomon said.

"H-How?..."

"I found you while flying over the continent. You looked in trouble, so I came to help you."Biyomon smiled as best she could for a bird her size."You okay?"

"I will be, thank you."Freya sighed in relief for a moment before feeling the iC in her hand."W-What is this in my hand?..."

"Oh...OH!"Biyomon dropped Freya to the ground in surprise.

"OW!"Freya rubbed her back."W-What was that for?!"

"I-I'm sorry, I'm just surprised to see..."

"This?"Freya held up the device."It's not like the one Henry has. I wonder whatever could be the reason why I have one?"

"W-We're partners!"Biyomon wrapped her wings around Freya in joy.

"W-Wait!"Freya pushed her back."Partners?!"

"W-Well, yeah!"Biyomon looked at her strangely."Didn't you know whenever a digivice falls in your hands, you're my partner? Go ahead, check the digivice for youself."

"Y-You speak the truth."Freya looked at the screen, astonished."We are indeed partners."

The device itself was a wonder. Rectangular like the one Ryo had received, it was a gold and white mix with all sorts of features attached. Freya rubbed her chin, sitting down and wondered who could have sent her such a device? Apparently, Biyomon didn't know...she was just as surprised to see it as she was. But how did she know what it was?

"A visitor, Biyomon?"A blonde haired child of 14 walked up, wearing some sort of funky uniform.

"Do you have any water on you?!"Biyomon pleaded to him.

"R-Relax, I always come prepared."Touma smiled, pulling out a full canister of water."Here."

"Thank you."Freya grasped the bottle, and chugged the water down feeling the water quench her thirst."Gluckgluckgluck"

"E-Easy!"Touma held out his hands."How long have you been out there?!"

"Five months."Freya wiped her snout."What I'm doing out there is none of your concern."

"No need to tell me that, as I have no interest in your affairs but your health."Touma smiled.

He seemed trustworthy enough, but filled with a deep longing underneath that confident exterior. Someone very close to him must've died, Freya supposed, but it was best not to get into places where she didn't belong either. After all, she just told the guy to fuck off about her business. As stars began to line the skies, Touma and Freya looked to each other nodding at the other that it was time to get back to camp and settle in for the night.

"Please stay with us."Touma bowed."We are newly arrived here, and have limited supplies at best."

"N-Newly...okay."Freya was risen into the arms of Biyomon."You're a strong one."

"You should see Gaomon!"Biyomon laughed.

Walking up to the campsite located within a nearby cave in a canyon, a faint moan could be heard from inside...one of the female persuasion. The group looked at each other, and walked inside and stayed a considerable distance away to see what was going on. Using his portable binoculars, Touma zoomed in to see a naked Yoshino with her partner, Raramon, enjoying their company. "Freya Crescent, Ex-General of Burmecia. I'm on a quest."Freya bowed her head."Your friend here was kind enough to lend me some of your water."

"Touma, that was the last bottle!"Yoshino cried.

"She needed it more. She was about to die."Touma explained, sitting down and putting his before the fire."Ahhh."

"Master..."

"Oh, right."Touma shook his head, taking off his iC, holding it up."Gaomon, Realize!"

A hole on the back of the iC glew and out came a collection of 0s and 1s that formed back into the digimon known as Gaomon. He was certainly bigger than most Rookies she had met, Freya thought to herself looking at him as Biyomon put her down before the fire as it burnt brightly before them. He was a blue dog by appearance, a golden star on his forehead hidden by the red bandana he wore along with matching red boxing gloves made him what he was. Touma put his digivice back on his belt, and sat down beside Gaomon who smiled back at his partner.

"That better?"Touma asked him.

"Yes, Master."Gaomon rubbed his head against his side."Much better."

"G-Gaomon."Touma blushed.

"What?"Gaomon asked his partner.

"N-Nothing."Touma turned his attention to Freya."If you don't mind me asking, how did you get that way?"

"Heh. Well, I guess I owe you that much."Freya smiled."Someone who I thought was someone else, attacked me."

"Hmm?"

"My old friend, Zidane Tribal, has been taken over by something else inside him that no one else is supposed to know about. What I tell you now...is forbidden knowledge but since you have the digivices, you can know."

"Then someone is calling out for help, or at least trying to warn us."Freya said."Who that is, I am not sure. All I know for sure is that whomever were fighting has something to do with 'Twilight'. I think I might know of someone who could help us on that subject."

"Dressed yet, Yoshino?"Touma asked.

"Y-Yes!"Yoshino rushed out from behind a rock, and back to the fire."About earlier..."

"Do not worry about it, just join the conversation."Freya smiled with a laugh."Make yourself warm."

"So, if I may ask again, who is this Zidane?"

"He's a blonde haired thief with a lust for whatever woman catches his eye."Freya said.

"I don't know about that, but I did see someone like that."Touma said."A few minutes before we found you, in fact."

"WAIT!"Freya yelled."Are you working with him?!"

"We don't know him!"Yoshino yelled.

"?"Raramon looked at Yoshino with question.

"We only saw him wandering aimlessly around the field, yelling out the name of the thief."Touma said."Then he just...disappeared."

"All right. Now just answer one more question..."Freya closed her eyes."Where did you come from?"

"Why, one of the Earths someone named Shangri-La just casually wiped out with but a thought."Touma said plain and matter of fact."We're exiles here."

"S-Shangri-La?!"

Meanwhile, Ryo, Mosh, and Indramon came to a halting stop as they arrived at the ruined village of Madain Sari. They could hear a crying so loud that it echoed throughout the canyons nearby. The trio rushed through the village and found themselves before a crying, purple haired little girl with a horn on her head...a summoner.

"Eiko?!"Ryo jumped off Indramon's back."What's wrong?!"

"T-The Eidolons...THEY'RE GONE! I CAN'T SUMMON THEM!"Eiko grabbed his shirt."I've tried, and tried, and tried...but I can't!"

Eiko dug her head into Ryo's shirt, leaving the boy nothing to do but stand and look at the girl in pity as she cried the world out into his shirt. Why were the Eidolons gone? Did it have something to do with Nephilim's warning? As the stars above glittered and shone bright, Eiko grew darker inside. She had been broken and chained down as a result of today's events.

"*sniff*"Eiko dropped to her knees."W-What do I do?..."

"What else? Find some answers."Ryo picked Eiko up into his arms.

"RYO!"Indramon shouted."LOOK UPWARDS!"

"W-What?!"Ryo grew wide eyed at the sight above him.

Dropping into the atmosphere of the planet were thousands upon thousands of organic red comets that blasted through the atmosphere and were landing everywhere around the planet from the seas to the Mist Continent. None of them seemed to be able to hit the village however, as they either rained or hovered away. They were the size of basketballs, but they were growing more numerous and falling at a faster rate than Ryo's eyes could keep up with. In the skies of the planet, the cat woman known as Mia grinned, knowing that this was just the beginning of events to come for the planet of Gaia as well as the four planets...

Now I read it, I find I'm underqualified. I can't imagine Elk and Mia like that, though. They're computer game chracters, anyway, why are they there? When you mentioned "trio", I had no idea who the third person was: there's Ryo, Indramon, and who? The line "Hold on, by the way...I'm going to sit down." seems so awkward. It just doesn't seem like something anyone would say.

I shouldn't be allowed to comment any further: the Legend of Dragoon references confuse me, and I can't do FFX-2, either. I haven't played to the end of Dot Hack (I'm stuck on Mutation). But I've said what I can. Sorry I can't be a better help.

You misunderstand the text, Herr Mullen. FFD:X-2 is basically "Final Fantasy Digimon II"...you have to read the previous two series to understand this one. This is in no way related to Final Fantasy X-2. Would it be helpful if I made up a faq explaining a quick overview of the series, so you don't have to go back over stuff again? Elk and Mia are there because unseen forces have pulled them from their home reality and made them reality. There were made into higher beings. I hope this clears some stuff up for you. I'll start on a faq soon. The third person in the trio was Mosh The Moogle if you were paying attention.^^;;...
