I've already said thst I haven't seen most of Digimon, and so, I need filling in. I'm working on a story that requires a much better knowlage of the first series than I currently have.
What was Devimon's role? Was he a servent of Myotismon? What do Black Gears do? What happened at the end of the series? Who are the Dark Masters? Who is Gennai?
The only series I have real substantial knowlage of is Series 2.

Well Devimon was trying to take over File Island. He was using the black gears which basically stuck onto a digimon and made them evil and do Devimon's bidding (think Dark Rings/Spirals Season 2). I wouldn't say he was a servant of Myotismon, but rather more of a Co-Evildude. The Dark Masters (Machinedramon, Puppetmon, Piedmon, and MetalSeadramon) were 4 evil Digimon who took over the Digital World after the kids returned to the Real World to take out Myotismon. Well the kids basically took them out and the series ended with a battle against Apocalymon (sp?) who created the Dark Masters and wanted to delete the Digital World. Well he was defeated by the Digidestined after a fight and then the Digidestined went home and were separated from their Digimon so the DigiWorld could reboot after all the choas that went on.
Thats it in a very small nutshell.

Was he a servent of Myotismon= i honestly cant recall, i think he thought he was powerfull but was really just being used.
black gears= i always assumed they just drove insane the digimon they entered.
What happened at the end of the series= they had a battle with apacolmon...i think
Who are the Dark Masters= puppetmon,metal seadramon,piedmon,and some big metal tyranomon lookinh thing....i think thats right.
Who is Gennai= he helps the digidestined along int heir journey with lots of info and such. he looks like an old bald mustached jedi.... the younger gennai wanna be's in season 2 are sexier jedi. gennai, jedi, coincidence?
