If it always worked as "one man one vote" I might vote but this electoral college bullshit fucks up the system IMHO.
In any case I'm a night owl anyway so it doesn't bother me that anime comes on late. But it seems like they're trying to tell us that anything foreign shouldn't be 'mainstream' which is complete BS since stuff like Cowboy Bebop is much less gratuitous than say NYPD Blue. On the other Hand even though .hack Legend of The Twilight seems to be aimed at a younger audience it does have quite a few subtle (and not so subtle) incest references between Shugo and Rena. So in a way I can understand why that comes on late. My usual response to the whole situation though is screw TV, Netflix has a great selection of anime to rent right from the comfort of your own home and I don't have to deal with the anti-otaku who hassle you assuming all anime is like La Blue Girl.

most anti otaku work at wal-mart in electronics (wich is odd because all the cart pushes are otaku)
and fye is the most otaku friendly place ever, case in point. i went to fye and picked up la blue girl dvd 2 i didnt have my id (im 20) so she asked my age,i told her and she said it was fine, i asked her how old you had to be to buy said dvd (in a joking manner) and she told me 14....14!!! that was awsome to me for no aparent reason.

heh... It even says right on the box/case Absolutley (sp?) not for Children, but you only have to be 14?

It's probably one of those double standard situations. Since it's animated and not real in any way in many cases it's not considered to be as "dangerous" to children.
