Never mind about the whole potential girlfriend thing. No doubt that she was interested in me, but apparently, I didn't move fast enough. On her little facebook thing, there were recent exchanges of comments about "fun" studying, probably involving the fraternity she said she was joining. She was looking for a smart guy who spoke Russian and enjoyed martial arts. I'm the only guy on campus who fits the profile, and she just lost me. Sucks for her, sucks for me, only the schmuck in the frat wins.

I'm sorry for you Wise, but let me give you a good friend's advice. Stop searching. They say love comes when you less expect it. At least for me, I would have never imagine it when I came here looking for Angemon and Beelzemon porn that I would find a boyfriend here...younger than me....from the other side of the world...that doesn't speak my language....that I don't know how he looks like.....Well, it's a really strange relationship (the strangest I can think of, really) but it's still a relationship, right?
Uhh, anyway. Maybe it's best for you this way. I wanted to have a boyfriend ever since I was little, but looking back, I realize I wasn't prepared (I'm currently barely prepared, really). I think you're not prepared, either. Maybe you need to learn way more things before you are.

So she's dating him and the only thing interesting about him is he's a red sox fan? Who is he jimmy fallon? That was a movie plot. Well maybe you can be that ear for her to cry on when it goes wrong. (and you know how those thing could turn out sometimes)

Speaking from experience, being the sensitive caring guy who makes the world make sense and provides a solid foundation of support does pay off sometimes. That's how I managed to get my current girlfriend of 18 months.
Don't lose hope. But what Zephyr said is totally true. Love does come when you east expect it. Just try not to be too outwardly jaded about it, or people won't even want to make an effort.
