it's your own thing in what you believe, whatever the thing exactly is in what you believe.
Following a thing you don't believe is the wrongest you can do, but that's just my own point of view.

If you believe in anything but yourself you're in for some disappointment, but do what you want...get your faith raping.

religion is a kind of personal thing...most believe in a 'creator' or 'god' and a basic heaven/hell type of system(most not all). but we all believe there are different ways to get there...

some believe that(like in the middle east mostly) that dying for their religion/country will get them there, others believe that blindly following their religion that they have chosen will get them there. i personely believe living a good life, being nice, polite and respectful, helping others and generally just being a good person will get you into heaven.

many people believe that there is no heaven/hell system. the 2 basic others(that i know of) are: reincarnation and creation by some scientific extent(i don't remember the word for this)

the bottem line with religion is: nobody knows what happens after you die, and by far the biggest fear anyone has is of the unknown. religion offers comfort to thoes fears and people jump at that opprutunity, so that they don't have to worry.

yes that's why people do it and people fear the unknown even the unknown fears it (but really only deep down because I have no real fears)

Right, the unknown, you would know.Wink There's only one quote that precisely answers this question. "If you don't want to believe, you don't have to try."
