Matt sheperd...that name rings a bell, a bell that limits it down to 1 of 2 things that definatly scared me into hiding my bisexuality from everyone(except random internet strangers):
one was a kid who committed suicide(here in Prince George) because everyone made fun of him because he was gay(that's toning it down a LOT), and the other(who i'm fairly sure was matt) was a kid in vancouver who was beaten to death because he was gay
was matt the kid from vancouver? i read thoes stories so long ago, but i remember each one of thoes stories touched me in a way nothing else ever has
I believe that Matt Shepard was in the USA, either Montana, Wyoming, or Colorado. Also, I think he was at least 20 or 21, since he was in college and he did meet his killers at a bar. But whatever. I'm gonna make a sweeping generalization here: everyone living out there is a Dubya-lovin', redneck homophobe. I really want everyone to just get along but sometimes I kinda long for another civil war that would separate me from those ignorant fucks.
