This is my newest project... a full fledged retelling of the story of the Chosen Children, through the looking glass. It's easy t show external conflicts, but these Chosen Children face conflict not only from outside, but from within, as they deal with their inner demons and a blatant difference between themselves and the rest of the world.
Part 1, titled Rude Awakenings, will be published on MediaMiner, FFN, and my own site NewGaea.com, on April 4th and will cover from their rude awakenings through... well, you'll have to read it to find out. I'm currently plannign for it to be a 3-part story, though I may add more to encompass Zero Two.
Anyhow, as a preview for the story, the rude awakenings of Taichi and Hikari Yagami.

I wrote a lemon called Through the Looking Glass. You might want to change the title so they don't get confuzzled. I wrote mine back in like August.
Nah, I think my story will do just fine with or without confusion with yours. Besides, I'm kind of attached to Through the Looking Glass, it always was one of my favorite stories as a kid.
Digimon - Through the Looking Glass has finally been published, on NewGaea (Under Fanfiction) and on MediaMiner.org (under... Digimon, duh!).
This is only Part 1, however a major distraction entere my life before I could finish this part, which is the reason for the delay. Anyhow, bad news begets worse news, so I'll not bore you with the details -- but this story is rather nice, in my overrated opinion.

Notorious can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he was just being polite. I think he meant it as a request. That's why he stressed his pre-dating. Why don't you try something else with "looking glass" in it? You'll still be referencing the story, and you can come up with something more clever or relevant. From what I've seen so far, I don't see any relation to the story, but if you're attached to it, how about one of these:

I was being stubborn, and will continue to be. My story is not, nor do I ever intend for it to be, a Lemon. Therefore it is no more likely to be confused with Noto's Through the Looking Glass than a porn novel titled "Asian Days" would be confused with a non-pornographic novel of the same title, unless they had the same author.
I cannot guarantee I have read Noto's "Through the Looking Glass", unless it was submitted to one of my contests -- I do not often read any lemons these days, I just have more important things to do, and no private computer to use for reading them. However, my concept for the title was threefold. The first source was a vision of a Tamers edition, where Takato discovers the change as he wakes up and looks in his mirror. I have a similar scene in the current chapter, though not focused on a single character.
The second source was The Matrix, which used Lewis Carroll references throughout the first movie, including the White Rabbit, the rabbithole, and even the mirror which 'engulfed' Neo. I wanted to use the concept of turning the known world upside down, showing it as a construct or artificial, and so I am painting my events as "true", while those in the original series are considered (for purposes of this story) as the construct.
The final source, where I actually derived the title, was from Through the Looking Glass, which I haven't read in years. But there it was, on the bookshelf, as I was running through these concepts of a world that was blatantly /not/ the same as the shows, but in which the same general events occurred. That was when I thought "Wait, the changed appearance... as they would first encounter it, it would clearly be... their mirrors." And so, from there, it came together to become what these children saw, "Through the Looking Glass". And that became my title, one of the first times I've felt no desire at all to change a title.
If anybody on this site is confused by my "Through the Looking Glass" three-parter and Noto's "Through the Looking Glass" lemon, well, that's not my problem -- the story isn't published here.
No need to be a jackass about it. Just because my work it classified under the title "lemon" doesn't mean that it's not deserving of someone's time.
And furthermore, The Matrix's reference to "Through the Looking Glass" came from Alice in Wonderland. They weren't original, and neither are you -_-

Noto, here's the thing: No title can be copyrighted, so I can't be forced in any way to change my story's title. Furthermore, I have no desire to change it, because I feel it fits the idea.
THe "through the looking glass" references in The Matrix are not from Alice in Wonderland -- they are fron the sequel to Alice in Wonderland, "Through the Looking Glass." I admitted this above, and did not claim to be original in the way of my title.
Now, because our two stories have the same name, a person may be confused -- but should that be a problem for us? If someone, looking to read my "Through the Looking Glass" ends up reading, and perhaps even liking, your own story by the honest mistake, is it a problem to you? Is it a problem to you if somebody, by that same mistake, reads my story thinking it's yours, and likes it? I don't see the fault in our stories--which are in different genres, neither superior to any other--sharing a title, and maybe if you can point one out to me I will consider changing it.
The original idea for this was as a Tamers story, where Takato would discover the change in the morning, while looking in the mirror. I suppose "Mon in the Mirror" would have provoked no less of a reaction from you, though would it, considering the similarity of that title to your own "Mirror in the Mon" story?
Instead, thinking of this as a sort of "outside the Matrix" version of the Digimon stories, I put thought into it, still wanting to name it after the same scene, and settled on "Through the Looking Glass", because as a child (I've said this before) it was my favorite book. It also happened to flow with the Matrix type of concept, because of their references to Lewis Carroll's classics of children's literature. It fit my idea, so I used it. NObody should need to get hurt over the title.
The title similarities don't even bother me anymore - I was crabby when I originally replied to this a few months ago. In actuality, my "Though the Looking Glass," wasn't exactly great work anyway.
I just don't appreciate the snobbish manner in which you replied.

Actually, titles can be copyrighted so to say. Book publishers often reserve/copyright names ahead of times to insure that they get this title when an author's work is ready to be published officially. If there was no such thing, I could easily try to publish a novel with the name of "War and Peace" or "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". These titles are already taken however.
Since no one really copyrights their lemons or fanfics on here (due to the characters being borrowed from Toei Animation and whatever else) you are correct in the fact that you don't have to change your title, and no one is going to force you to do so.
It would however be a nice common courtesy to avoid using the same title as someone else in the community's work since they have used it before you. It doesn't matter where/why you thought of using it as the end result remains the same. Furthermore, it doesn't matter in the slightest that his story under the title you want to use is a lemon or not. This is just a simple excuse you're trying to throw out there.
Truely you are correct, no one will force you to do anything, but it would be nice to see some sort of respect for other people's stories and such even if they are unofficially "copyrighted". Just my two cents, though I know you wont agree with me.
