It's a gamer thing. Pwn equals 'own', pwns equals 'owns', pwned means 'owned', etc....if you don't know what owned means, google images of 'OWN3D'.
EDIT: As for the origins of it, my best guess is that someone tryed to type 'own' too fast and ended up hitting the 'p' key (assuming you have a QWERTY keyboard). It's just stuck.

Gun, I think I thought a little too hard...I've had a headache for the past couple days...and no sleep either. AHH!!! Insomnia...oh well...it's fun falling asleep at schools sometimes. hehehe. OMG!!!
