older Movies you like

Just thought I'd start an off topic thread about movies you liked. It'd have to be a movie that isn't a big hit (like Spiderman or Harry Potter). Maybe since we all liked Digimon and hentai, we'd have some similiar taste in the movie.

I'd start with one movie I liked: Ladybug (1992)
starring Rodney Dangerfield and Jonathan Brandis. Rodney (as Chester) wqas kissing up to his boss for promotion and ended up getting a job as soccer coach for a team his boss company sponser. In order to get the promotion, the soccer team must win. The problem is that his all girl team sucked so bad even a team of blind players could do better.

So Coach Chester ends up recruiting his step-son to-be (Jonathan as Matthew) to play in the all girls team, and he has to dress up like a girl to be in it, without his Mother (and Chester's future wife) knowing about it. A lot of hilarity ensues especially when after their first win, the girl all went to a party and turns out to be a skinny dipping party that Matthew had to try and escape.

A very funny movie. I'd give it 4 out of 5. -1 for the skinny dipping scene, they could have made it something else and still be funny since I'd rather stick kiddie porn in fictional animated world, not with real kids.

Haha. I've sort of avoided that movie for a long time, even though I won't deny that Brandis is kinda cute.

Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) is one of my favorite movies ever. Since this is an anime message board full of people who are into anime, I'm sure that most people here have seen it and love it, so I really don't have to say what it's about. It's just a beautiful and sweet movie.

Psycho *1997 and the 60s version*

An old horror classic, the story is about when a woman is discovered as missing--last seen at the infamous Bates Motel in the desert--her sister and boyfriend visit the place only to find it run by a voyeuristic, taxidermist loner whose possessed by his dead mother and dresses himself up like her, adopting her personality.

The film was a horror classic in my opinion....

Night Of the living dead

Fuck 28 days later,I'll stick to the classics.

Plot: Seven people are trapped in an isolated farmhouse and living an unspeakable nightmare. Cannibalistic zombies have been awakened from the dead and are on a relentless killing and eating binge

Opinion:I loved both the original, the remake and sequels. It sucks that George Romero didn't direct Resident Evil,Now that would of been a tight
movie

Baseketball

A movie by South park creators Trey Parker and Matt...uh, well I forget their names. The movie was panned heavily by critics, but I thought it was one of the most fucking hilarious things I'd ever seen!

Grave of the fireflies (sometime during the 1980's) and Blue Submarine No. 6 (2000 or 2001). Both are anime.

The first one is set in Japan during WWII and tells the story of two orphan children trying to survive. Although it does get a little sentimental at times, I think it's a brilliant movie, beautifully directed. The artwork is great and the music used very effectively. It's actually based on things that really happened.

The second one is a science-fiction-film -- the first anime ever to be made completely on the computer. It is set in a future in which a mad scientist has destroyed the earth's climate by melting the pole ice caps and released genetic mutants who live in the oceans and are now at constant battle with the humans. Each country has one powerful nuclear submarine -- a blue submarine. Japan's is number six. The film does not only describe the battles between humans and mutants but at the end, something strange happens and things will never be the same again. My description doesn't do this film justice. You'll have to see it to know what I'm rambling on about, I can't describe it. It's brilliant. And the underwater battle scenes absolutely ROCK!!!
