The proposition for lemon writers

Though Digiartist's Domain continues to crank out some of the best lemons have ever seen, there is a problem lurking among that of lemon writers, and that is the fact that there is something missing from most lemons written, a plot. Even Lord Archive, or Red Rover, sometimes cannot make a plot that does little better than lead up to a sex scene, which takes up the majority of the lemon. Who has the stamina to have sex with people constantly, besides that of SNL's The Ladies Man Leon Phelbin?
Make a plot. Make the lemon interesting enough so that readers do not just skip to the sex scene. The sex scene of a lemon should not take up for than 1/3 of the lemon. Though it may take longer to put in a story, it shall pay off in the end when people read the ENTIRE thing...

Plot is great for stories, but there is a time and place for plotless smut. When all you want is a good wank, plot can actually be something you do NOT want.

Setting up a plot that results in a believable orgy is very difficult. But I know I'm not the only one who doesn't mind reading Hikari screwing a couple guys at the same time even if the plot is non-existant.

A lemon needs a plot. Would you want to read a story going like this: Davis and Sora are walking down the street, and they bump into each other and a half an hour later they're waking up in a fetish party after having hox sex? I wouldn't.
Another thing: You can only wank for so long. How long could you wank? An hour? Two if you haven't wanked in like a year? A little plot could help fill in the time before you get another chance to wank again. Or you could read the story like a reguler fanfic, only stopping to wank where there is a sex scene. Part of the fun of a lemon is that it puts an extra spin on a story you already know, in this case, Digimon.
And also, yes there is a way to make a good plot for a Kari gangbang lemon. Just think about it for a couple of minutes.

I'm suprised you think that LA's series are lacking plot.

What exactly are you considering plot? I mean, a true plot, you would need to write a considerably amount, well over 50 pages to develop a true plotline.

There simply aren't many authors that are willing to do that, at least not in the world of Digi-Hentai. I've basically aknowledged that, and am content to substitute clever or meaningful themes for plot.

You can't write enough pages or chapters to cover a plot that fits those requirements without a lemon scene. It's a hentai site, and I doubt that the majority of readers come here for plot, no matter how good it is. Plot is essential for long series, to name an example, but even there you need a lemon scene at least every two chapters. It's all about fanservice.

I also think stamina plays no part in it. "Red Digivice Diaries" includes a lemon scene in every chapter, but I still love it to death and find it the most realistic Digimon lemon out there.

Generally, I believe that lack of plot doesn't cross your mind as easily as lack of lemon scenes would. I can easily say that I sometimes go looking for a lemon scene to skip straight at.

I dunno, I still try to add some zesty plot into some of my stories, though the ones on site are like brutal and twisted, and some suck cause I was new and didn't finish a series I was planning on doing...meh.

I say sometimes plot is good, sometimes ya just want the fruit of the lemon lol...my new fic I'm working on (Shameless plug!) will have mini plots throughout the whole thing, well basically just to tie together the situations leading to the smutty sex lol...man I'm a whore lol...anyways it's gonna be a sonic fic, read all about it! lol.

Okay, seriously.
Not every lemon out there has a great plot, but on the other hand, that often the intended effect. There are lemons that go easy on plot, characters or realism, but deliver a stunning sex scene. Yes, I can hear your "Yeah, but that could be done with stunning plot before that", and I know that this is the truth. You can go on for 20 chapters with a PG rating and then have the ultra-enormous mass orgy of the century in chapter 21. But not everybody wants to read 20 chapters of plot twists, character development and stuff like that.
Technically ANYthing can be explained, given enough plot before the lemon scene. I could think of a plotline that ends with 01 Kari screwing Takato while 02 Kari makes pictures of it. I can come up with a plotline leading to Gennai having sex with Izzy while Tai and Davis masturbate on Yolei. But sometimes I simply wake up in the mood to write a hot scene but lack the urge to think of a waterproof 60 pages plotline that explains everything while staying in-character and true to the plotline(s) of the show.

You said yourself: Not every lemon has a great plot. That is simply because not everybody wants to write or follow a great plot.

Here's another reason why some lemons have little or no plots: it's easier to write a lemon that's nothing more than porn than to write anything with good plot. Combining porn and plot is probably harder than making a PG rated porn-free fanfic with great plot.
