Christopher Nolan ruined the DC series. Because no matter how much they try any DC universe movie they make from now on will never tread water on the trilogy that he put out.
Doesn't mean that Marvel didn't have any hiccups either. I wasn't a huge fan of their Daredevil movie which for me was the first comic book movie I saw. I also didn't quite understand the Punisher movies either. One was pure Hollywood one line fest, but was still relatively enjoyable. Then War Zone which was a dark gritty film that looked like every body's heads were deflated basketballs.
