And they're gonna use your ISPs to do it. Long story short, without input from the public, They're going to use your ISPs to snitch on you for 'piracy', regardless if it's you doing it or someone else on your ISP. Basically trying to push SOPA/PIPA through regardless of public opinion on the matter.

The kicker, in my opinion, is if say you didn't do anything, but someone else borrowing your internet signal did, and they cut your internet because of it, you have to PAY just to prove whether or not you're innocent.

Feel free to move this wherever, but I felt I should do my part to spread this news to others before it hits and the shit hits the fan.

They can keep trying but with doing stuff like this will only hurt them even more in the end. I mean... the only reason people resort to torrenting is because they can't afford the already high prices that come with these 'new' releases that come out. Here's the pattern I personally see...

Disable torrenting. Force people to buy it all. People won't or can't buy the item. Companies lose profit in the long run.

I just think that they are making a huge mistake with this attempting to go through.

Cowboy, you raise valid objections to the policy and how it could cause wrongful prosecution. If they could revise the law accordingly, I might actually support it, but since that seems doubtful, I hope it gets enough attention to draw public outcry.
