Mass Effect: Precursor (Invite only- DrakeZero, Shadow, DMX, Crimson)

Gerris grunted at the sudden change in plans, "Pilot, what are you doing?! Evade those rockets!" she barked out, but then they were hit by a bigger barrage of attacks. Soon enough, they were all in a life-death situation. Gerris was used to these and even so, nobody could see the pained expression on her face as she watched her comrades jumping to their deaths or otherwise cripple themselves.

She grabbed her own pack and made her escape last, having quickly dispatched everybody else. Gerris jumped out right before the dropship exploded mid-air, the blast sending her flying off-course with her descent. "No! I must stabilize it...!" she quickly punched some codes in her omni-tool but the blast's force had been so harsh that her shields had been torn off instantly and she was sent flying off.

As the three jumped from the drop ship, it exploded into a giant fireball as they fell to earth. Down below, the salarian looked up to see the ship break apart and wondered if there were any survivors. It would be a few more minutes till he reached the site, and he hoped the Krogans didn't send scouts.


*Factory*

The battle continued it's stand off, for every Krogan killed they killed 5 Turians, but they had 6 in waiting to replace the 5 already dead. Back in the day when the Mesa clan was larger this battle would have ended in a matter of minutes rather then the days they have been hunkered down by Turian bombardment. "Get my weaponry ready, I'll be heading into battle." he said to one of the Krogan guards. A smile formed on the guard as he walked off to the weapons room. The youngling must have thought it was great Tritop was going into battle. The chance to see the 'legendary Tritop' in battle, but he never thought of himself that way. No...he was a soldier to the Krogan people that's all he ever wanted to be, and that's all he was. And going to battle now would give him a chance at a warrior's death. Not bad to end someone days is it not?

[Crimson Fox]

"Oh hell..." uttered Raddia as the ship above blew, tearing through her shields as well as she struggled to stabilize her jet pack through the air, the machinery damaged in the blast. "Uuggghh..." As the ground grew closer, she tried to tumble to the ground to try and land a bit softer. "Yeah, stealth would have been way better," groaned the asari as she struggled for a moment to get up. Throwing off the damaged jet pack, she grabbed her rocket launcher and looked around to see if any of her companions made it out. C'mon guys. A little explosion didn't stop you that easily, did it?

[Shadowknight]

Talon grunted as he barely escaped the blast radius of the ship, looking on as he saw it's remains crashing down to earth before kicking his legs around to better see his own trajectory. The blast from the ship had damaged his shields but the worst part was it had pretty much thrown him towards the ground, the speed he was traveling at far too great for the flimsy drop pack to fight, Only gonna get one chance, damn this is gonna hurt. he growled as he hit his omni-tool, his pack flaring to life for a brief second before he suddenly unstrapped it, letting it fly off without him as he hit the ground. His plan had at least worked, the short burst had pushed him off just enough to avoid a head on collision with the ground, instead hitting at an angle and sliding across it.

"Ugh, damn. That hurt." he groaned as he stood, examining the numerous scratches that now covered his armor, though considering the alternative he could hardly complain. He looked around, unable to spot any survivors from the crew, Too risky to send up a flare, no sense advertising my survival. he thought as he pulled out his assault rifle and began a slow walk towards the factory, knowing the others, if anyone survived that's the first place they'd head to.

OOC: Going to try something new here since everyone landed or is falling in different spots I am going to give each character different problems and let you deal with it as you see fit just so it's interesting. :)


**Raddia**

It seemed the asari had blown far off course of the original landing zone, but still the factory was in sight. Her damaged jetback sparked and sizzled as it was tossed. However, she heard a growly howl around the damaged buildings. The growls grew closer and closer echoing off the walls making it hard to locate. Soon though a silhouette appeared on a higher ledge before stepping out of the shadows allowing Raddia to see a red varren look down on her with hunger in it's eyes. It roared again, and with it more Varren appeared around her, this time all in white hides as they circled her cutting off any chance of escape. They licked their chops and with a moment of tense, the Varren on her right lunged for her.

**Talon**

As Talon neared a hill, he could hear cries down below as surviors of Alpha team were scatted across the hill. Some lying motionless while others were calling out for help or their mothers as they laid there.

"Grrr shut those Turians up." Talon suddenly heard and a shot rang out silencing one of the injuried Turians.
"Please mercy mercy!" One shouted as a laser blast took his head off.
"Hmmph, I heard Turians were tough and yet these ones cry like a baby when faced with death."
"No matter, shoot any surviors." the other Krogan said as he laid down a round of fire onto the rest of the squad. "Besides, Battlemaster Tritop wouldn't want surviors anyways." he chuckled to his partner as the two Krogans moved on. Suddenly, the light off Talon's rifle caught one of the scouts attention. "Over there!" One of them shouted and they immediately opened fire on the hill where Talon was standing.

**Miraya**

Her jetback started to stall as the computer was damaged from the blast. She could feel the thrusters sputter in trying to stay online before they stopped entirely. With no thrust, the female Turian was in free wall tumbling down to the planets survive close to the buildings and destroyed structures. The computer flickered as it continued to try and function as she continued to fall reaching terminal velocity towards the ground.


**Zevia**

The Quarian paced in her cell, as she looked around trying to find an escape. She studied the force field and looked at the generators. They weren't new, looked like a few parsets old by her estimates. She looked around making sure no other guards were looking and slowly reached into her torso robes retrieving a large knife. It was good the Krogans weren't interested in patting her down when they searched her. She walked up to the side of the gate and examined it. If she could just get the knife into the driver's conduct she could overload it and blow it's circuit. With the knife tip steady she moved close to it when suddenly sparks flied out and a shock coursed through her hand causing her to drop her hat. "Dammn it. Driver protection barriers. Hmmm this is going to be trickier then I thought." she said to herself as she approached the conduit again and attempted to short it out.

[Shadowknight]

Talon quickly dropped to his stomache, making himself as small a target as possible as he switched out his sniper rifle. Given the distance between him and the scouts his assault rifle would be useless for accuracy, and if he was lucky he might just be able to pick a couple off before they got close. He set his rifle against the ground as he took a calming breath, the entire battlefield seeming to slow down as he focused, lining up a shot on the nearest Krogan's skull, "Gotcha," he whispered as he fired.

[Crimson Fox]

Raddia gritted her teeth as she quickly dived to the ground, letting that first varren fly over her body. She then quickly switched weapons, pulling out her assault rifle and started spraying thermal bullets at the pack to push then back and disperse them. Great... I wonder if my teammates are having this much fun.

[DragonMasterX]

Gerris groaned as she did her best to remain calm in spite of the speed of her descent elevating the more seconds she wasted attempting to stabilize the computer's directional system. She knew she wasn't going to make it with the pack intact, so she switched her priorities.

The female turian held by the straps of her drop pack and suddenly summoned all of her body strength to spin and face the sky. She grunted as she prepared the jutting katar blades on her forearms and right before she was about to crash cut them off and pushed herself off.

The jet pack crashed against the ground with a great explosion, but Gerris managed to survive the fall by flipping in the air and rolling on the rocky surface. Her shields were still down, so she hd some cuts and bruises around her body.

As she stood up, she dusted herself off and applied medigel to her wounds, shuddering a bit as she still wasn't used to its quick-acting but gooey treatment. As she looked over the crash site of her jet pack, she realized the smoke and the sound from the earlier blast would attract attention to herself, so she activated her cloaking systems...

...only to realize that the earlier blast which had torn her shields down had also damaged her suit's cloaking system. "Damnit..." she cursed, trying to stay low with her hand cannon at the ready should any enemy close in on her.

OOC: Just to let everyone know I am using an online 10 face dice to judge how well your shots or attacks are against the enemy. I'll post the results here with it out of 100%.

100% - Death shot - Instant kill
90%-80%- Serious wound with potential to inflict lost of function of body parts (IE incapacitating an arm or leg)
70%-60% - Shot connects causing damage to shield and nearly shield overload
50%-40% - Enemy shield is hit and takes damage but holds up.
30%-20% - Shield takes hits, but most of the shots miss
10% - Missed enemy entirely no damage to enemy.

To help with chances of getting good hits I'm also thinking we should have skill sets for our characters. That you are given 10 skill points and with those skill points you can apply how many you want to each skill. The skill sets I'm thinking for are:

Hand-Hand/blades/
hand pistols combat
Assualt rifles/shot guns
sniper rifles/sub machine guns
Heavy weapon
Tech
Biotic
Conversation (You're ability to convince people to your wishes)

Also each species will have base modifers IE:
Quarians:
+4 tech,
+1 for pistol.
-1 Biotic
-1 Heavy weapon

Krogan:
+2 for heavy ammo
+2 assault/shot guns
-1 Sniper/Sub machine

Turian:
+2 for hand to hand combat
+1 for sniper/sub machine
+1 for assault/shotgun
-1 biotic

Salarian:
+3 for tech
+1 pistol
-1 Hand to hand combat

Asari: +3 for biotic skills
+1 for conversation
-1 Hand to hand combat

Drell: +3 assault/sniper
+1 conversation
-1 Heavy weapon
