My Little Pony Friendship is Magic

Ereth told me about the show a while ago, loved it. It sort of has that same sort of charming vibe the Powerpuff Girls had. I appreciate that they tried to cater to all age groups with the humor. A lot of cartoons I've seen lately don't really do that as much.

Twilight Sparkle was one of the most obnoxious protagonists ever. Was she made so watchers can identify themselves with her? I mean, what I watched presented her as an individual who's been living under the proverbial rock all her life and is now being lectured on what she already knows so we all are like: "Oh, so that's how it is."; I suppose she is to be nurtured with the world's knowledge throughout the series, learning from all her cleverly designed, personality-differentiated girl friends, right? Hm, nope. Can't say I've seen something like this before. /sarcasm

Eh, Twilight gets better after that pilot arc, but I agree, her friends are far more interesting. Especially Fluttershy, she's so awesome, especially what happens in the last episode. Plus she had those great hero moments with the dragon and the cockatrice episodes.

Looking forward to season 2!

One thing I'm curious about, what the heck ever happened to Luna? She's the main focus pretty much of the pilot episode then just completely vanishes. No on talks about her, no one sees her. Did Celestia kill her or something?

I believe they stated that she will return for at least one episode in Season 2. So no, not dead, and she's probably recovering at the castle.

Speaking of which, does it bug anyone else that she isn't called Queen Celestia? Why the Princess title? Same thing with Zelda when her daddy isn't around in those games. XP
