Golbez from Final Fantasy 4 was awesome.
Crimson: Don't mention Seymour, I hated FFX. XP Kuja was cool though, especially when he went berserk with his Trance. He should have been the absolute final boss instead of Necron.

Yeah, he is a protagonist even though he's a thief. He's kind of like Locke from FF6 though he calls himself a "treasure hunter". You could call them Chaotic Good, kind of like Robin Hood.
