Nath's eyes glazed at Neutral, as he then spotted a place to hide. "Come on, Neutral!" He yelled, as he ran over to him and started to try and push him to the cover. "Don't ask questions! Let's go!"

"Why are you all hiding? It's only a Humvee," the Spartan replied. He leveled his rifle at the speck in the distance - specifically at the front tires - and two muffled coughs escaped his rifle. The car ahead lost speed, flipped and careened into a nearby ditch.

"Oh, and Nath," he began, gesturing over to the cowering form behind him, "You were right. I'll stay friendly if you do." He primed an M-67 frag grenade, put it at his feet and sat down. In a flash of smoke and fire, the grenade detonated, sending bits of metal and dirt in all directions. As the smoke cleared, Spartan-79 stood back up and brushed some dust off his armor. "You see, you won't have much chance of killing me, even if you wanted to."

"Hostile exiting vehicle...lost him, he dissapeared. I suggest you talk cover, 79" the AI chimed. The soldier lept - 15 feet straight up - and landed on the second floor balcony of a crumbling building.

Nath poked his head out from behind the cover. "Ah, that's good." He smiled at Spartan-79, before he cursed, and pulled himself under the cover again. He looked at his gun 'Rebellion' and sighed.

"Huh. Well, seeing as you all HID, I assumed he was a hostile," the Spartan concluded.

"It's a good thing that vehicle lost speed before it crashed, he probably would have been killed otherwise. I've got a fix on his location...hacking sattelite feed...done. Opening," Odin said.

A video screen popped up into his HUD. It showed a man walking along, bloody and bruised, clutching what appeared to be a rifle. The Spartan noticed that the man's speed didn't seem to be impeeded at all by his injuries...signifying a well-trained soldier. "I'm going to go check him out, see if he's OK. You," he said, pointing to Nash, "we may not be best friends, but I'm gonna need you to cover my back if I'm ambushed. I'll make it up to you."

The armored giant hopped off the balcony and started towards the battered figure ahead. "Soldier? Do you require assistance?" he called. Seeing no response, he became a bit nervous, and took cover behind a destroyed and flaming car. Switching his helmet to thermal imaging, he saw the fire burned in excess of 2,000 degrees Celsius...MUCH too high. "Odin, spectroscopic analysis on the inside of that wreck," he said while backing away.

"According to this..." the AI trailed off. "Sir, if these readings are correct, there's uranium in there...at those temperatures, it could cook off...and that would lead to..."

"A nuclear explosion," Spartan-79 whispered. He ran fullspeed back to where the rest of his companions were hiding. "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, THAT CAR'S GOING TO GO OFF! MOVE, MOVE!" he yelled, sprinting away from the car in excess of 45 KPH.
