He wants to destroy the world with one half, and rebuild the world with the other, reinstating the whole darkness/light cliche/stereotype, and it's kinda dumb, cuz after he rebuilds the world again, wouldn't his dark side want to destroy it all over again- and repeat the process over and over?
Wasn't data destroyed or something. Even the good and data was purged out.
