The Town of Toren
#8
OOC: Mind if I join? XD I have a human this time!

Name: Renzo Jagger
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Species: Human

Apperance:
Description: Stands at 6'0ft, a lean, but firm build, brown messy hair and blue eyes. Wears simple clothes like sleeveless shirts and jeans or cargo pants, but since the fog came, he started wearing a jacket.

Personality: Calm and collected, intelligent, in control. Somewhat introverted due to recent break-up with his girlfriend and an abusive boyfriend. He's kind and gentle, and much too trusting for his own good. He loves music, and occasionally enjoys a good chat with the deceased.

Powers: None, other than he's a good athlete and took various martial arts and self-defense classes after he left his abusive boyfriend. The only real 'power' he seems to have is a keen supernatural awareness, meaning he can see things others can't, like auras, spirits, ghosts, and in rare occasions, even guardian angels.

Bio: One of the many people who lived in the Town of Toren. He's a regular person, or at least as close to regular as he could get. Renzo graduated a whole four years earlier than other students, and can see things people aren't supposed to see. He had a girlfriend once, but she left him when she heard him 'talking to himself' on more than one occasion. He then met and fell in love with a former classmate, who turned out to be quite abusive of him, beating him and yelling at him whenever he did something out of the ordinary. In the end, he left his boyfriend, only to hear that he had been killed the next day. Renzo has no family that he knows of. His tuition fees are paid by an anonymous benefactor who sometimes writes him a letter or two. His current job is as a clerk in a 'magic book' store, and a moonlighting author of a popular local series of horror-mystery-romance pocket novels.

He wears wears a heavy coat with a high-collared mantle that covers his everything on his face from just bellow his eyes, and a matching hat. He seems to be skinny, but feels quite powerful and solid.

He wears old fashioned Victorian era clothes, usually a black/brown vest, a white button-up shirt underneath and matching black pants and shoes. His fingers are tipped with black claws, and his hair is slickened back neatly. His canines are more pronounced than a regular werewolf's, giving him a case of 'snagglefang', and he has a large symbol on his back resembling a "V" with bat wings. His tail is is 2'6ft long. He wears a golden ring on the middle finger of his left hand, symbolic of nobility, and some sort of large, silver crucifix with a blood-red, bat-shaped stone on the center chained to a collar/choker around his throat.

Personality: Xerverius is infamously charming, despite his appearance, and is quite a gentleman. His personality is one expected of a noble, notable from his speech patterns, tone and accent. He's also quite sharp, cunning, clever and witty. His age brings with him a lot of experience and wisdom. He's also quite playful, and enjoys games and company. He lives a lonely existence.

Powers: (Note: His powers and abilities are severely toned down by the Town of Toren's atmosphere and his strange pendant that he seems to wear.) Xerverius has all the powers offered by both vampires and werewolves can offer and none of the weaknesses. He's quite learned in black magic, possesses great strength, speed, stamina and recovery, control over blood, spirits and nature, and a vast psychic powers. He also showcases the ability shapeshift.

Bio: Xerverius Valeriu is rumored to be the father of all vampires and werewolves, the first true immortal. It was because of this that he was called "The Lord of Genesis", or simply "The Genesis". Long ago, he was a powerful sorcerer who dared to challenge the gods by using the power of devils. He was cursed by both damnation and divine, but somehow managed to turn the curse in his favor by sacrificing an entire town, gaining godlike powers in exchange for securing his place in the deepest, darkest pits of hell. He was a feared tyrant for thousands of years, before a group of hopeful heroes fought their way through his kingdom until they faced him. He ultimately emerged victorious, but a one of the heroes, a great priestess, had managed to bind his powers down to lesser supernatural levels. Lacking the power to control a nation, he fled and despaired, living in the guise of a mortal noble eons.
However, he managed to find love, and embraced his lack of power so he could be with his wife. Seasons came and went, and he eventually outlived his beloved wife. He found love again, and again, and again, but it was a cycle of loss over and over again. He was cursed to watch those he loved die before his very eyes, with nothing he could do. Soon, he decided he'd curse one to share a fate similar to his. His two lovers, a man and a woman, became the first werewolf and vampire. They were monsters who made more monsters. In the end, he put them out of their misery, and vowed never to subject anyone to that fate again. He had long since forgotten how to love, and feels only the pain that's left afterward.
Returning to the village he once massacred, now thriving once more, he sought an end to his existence and inspected the cross around his neck, only now discovering (lol) that it could be removed by someone else, after all those years of trying to remove it himself. However, he was to do the bidding of whoever unbound him like some loyal servant. And so he disguised himself as a mortal once more, roaming the village, now known as the Town of Toren, looking for someone he could trust enough to unshackle his powers and not abuse them. When that time comes, he'd offer the full extent of his powers in exchange for the souls of his past lovers to rest in peace, and for he himself, to find his own peace, even if it meant repenting in Hell.

Sorry for being long-winded once again!! XD

[Park]

Renzo sat on a park bench, his arms draped over the backrest and his head tilted back so he faced the foggy sky. It was an uneventful evening, save for the fact that he had once again fallen asleep in the park where he could've been murdered or raped (the thought of which amused him for a bit, before he recalled his ex-boyfriend having sex with him against his will more than once), and that there was no one around who did it. A bat flew by him, causing him to flinch momentarily before he chuckled at his own cowardice, shaking his head.

"C'mon Jagger, a bat?" He said to himself, getting up and stretching his athletic body. He thought he spotted a two figures flying overhead, but he payed them no mind. It was probably more bats, or birds, or just some ghosts. He was used to them by now. He grew up in this environment. It was time he made his way home. And so he turned around, and took the cobblestone path that cut straight through the darkest part of the park, leading to the street two blocks away from his house in the suburbs, his sneakers making rather loud steps in the still, silent night.
