A medival RPG idea I had a while back and never used.
In the age before ages, the gods gave the people of this world the power to control the basic elements of reality around them. all was well until certain beings began to use their divine power for persona gain, robbing, raping and murdering their fellow people. So the gods took the powers away from them and sealed them in physical forms only the deserving can find, let alone weild. Your ultimate goal is to find all the blades and gain supreme power.
These 'Blades of Fate' are powerful all by themselves, but together they form an even greater power; one that rivals the gods themselves. The Blades have no permanent form of which to speak, but they usually appear in a form of weapon best-suited to the person meant to weild it, and relates to their specific base element. Further to this effect, the sword can summon a spirit or being of that element to fight at its weilder's side.
They belong in two groups: The White and Black Circanates.

In Addition, there are three elements in what is called the Arch-Circanate. You'll just have to RP to find out what these are ;)
The Blades of Fate are assigned on a first come, first served basis. So check carefully when writing your profile to make sure no-one has your Blade yet.

Class-Related Ability: (What can your class do, that no-one else's can? NOT MANDATORY)

Abilities: (Don't have god-powers, and they must relate to the Blade you weild)
Summon: (Describe the being/spirit you summon with your Blade. Again, no god-power)

- Light - Power comes from the divine light cast down from the heavens. Gives the weilder control over light and sacred energy.
Current Owner: Snow
- Water - Power comes from the unpredictable ocean. Gives its weilder control over any liquid mass, which has some limited healing applications.
Current Owner: Raphael
- Fire - Powered by the flames of passion and heat of the sun. Its weilder can control flames and heat.
Current Owner: Kurtz Erixon
- Earth - Powered by all things growing and living. Gives control over plants, and to a certain degree, animals and people. People can resist its control though.
- Air - Powered by the gentle breeze and ferocious storm. Gives its weilder control over wind, gases and weather.

- The Black Circanate -
- Dark - Powered by the shadowy evil of the Underworld. Gives its weilder the ability to manipulate shadows and death.
Current Owner: Dark Vee
- Ice - Powered by the ever-present cold of the planet's poles. Gives its weilder control over ice, snow, and freezing temperatures.
Current Owner: Yoosei
- Stone - Powered by the stone surface of the planet. gives its weilder contol over stone, sand and mud.
Current Owner: Vook Dorius
- Thunder - Draws power from the whisper and explosion. Grants control over sound, shockwaves and explosions.
Current Owner: Miyuki
- Metal - Draws power from the earth's molten core. Grants control over metals and machinery.
