Yeah you're right on that but I think that she was more angst in 01 than in 02, in 02 I think she changed a lot she was more happy more open with the other, but of course that past of her always will be there not matter how open to the others she is now.
Also some fans, me included think that part of her close friendship with Patamon in 02 resides in that somehow Patamon with his happy and innocent personality is like a sort of link to her with that innocense she lost thanks to that Myotismon found her when she still was a Salamon, and in a sort of way this can be true, because in Davis Cries Wolfmon in the original script when they and DemiVeemon were watching Kari dancing Gatomon said "I want to dance" and Patamon told her "Then why don't we?" and she didn't think twice and started to dance with him so this theory isn't much out of sense :P
Unfortunately the forum where I read that theory is now closed :(
And I noticed you often refrain from use her, in your drabbles you didn't used her much as a central character.
