Jane is a vain bitch, but every vain bitch has a motivation for being so, and her's might be that she thinks the attention is positive rather than negative. Though that would a strange gap in her otherwise unrivaled social intelligence...
As I recall from Frontier Ranamon often made others do her bidding and only Mercuremon ever did likewise to her.
Wisemon: Ben probably does feel a need from somewhere to interact with people, including people, the way we normally interact with animals; using them for our benefit. Why, though? I'm thinking perhaps he should even be undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome, which would certainly explain an improper understanding of people.
