I think part of the reason these women do this is because they understand something men like to ignore, which is that even in a sexual situation, verbal communication is still crucial. Myself I an writing a dialogue scene for my contest entry, but not neglecting the thoughts and feelings of my focal viewpoint either. However I often find myself gravitating towards the "silent sex" style which focuses on emotion, action and thoughts beyond actualy words, at least from the male side of the relationship.

In short, I believe that women tend to over-feminise their males, especially in yaoi fanfiction. Their males do what they would do, in the same way many yuri fics show females acting in a rather. . . masculine manner, by not communicating during the sex. Among heterosexuals, it seems common to find homosexuals of the opposite gender appealing, but too many authors lose sight of the fact that homosexuals of the opposite gender are STILL of a gender different from the author's own. Instead they treat both of them as their own gender but with the opposite's gender's body.

I'm not saying men never communicate in bed and women always do, or that either gender wants to always be that way. I'm just saying that generally speaking, because of how the sexual experience affects our minds, men are less likely to communicate in a complicated fashion than women are. Men tend to revert in their mental action to a more primal or basic state of mind, and thus may lose a lot of sweet talk capacity while making love, whether with another man or a woman. Conversely, women rise to a higher mental state, and so they're feeling great and better by the moment during sexual action, and want to make that feeling better by talking and engaging their mind and emotions through that.
