I'm more concerned with the animation itself. It just doesn't have the traditional look that we've all come to expect from digimon after watching four seasons of it. I'll still probably love it anyway but the look will always bother me. As for the pokemon-related thing, yeah it is a rip off, no doubt about that. But before I got into digimon I was into pokemon and noticed how despite them being in a ball most of the time, they still managed to have strong relationships with their trainers, well most of them anyway.
Then there's two more issues I have to bring up. First is the voices. I have not seen the first raw episode yet so this is not in relation to that. Instead my concern is with whoever does the dub voices. I pray and pray and pray some more that the voices will not be stupid or whatnot. I've seen some horrible Japanese to English dubbing before, most noteably the hentai movies. But then again whoever owns digimon now hasn't dissapointed us with the previous seasons with the voices.
The fact that things are edited out is a whole another issue. Also is the timeline. It premiered in Japan already according to TheDigiPort so god only knows when it'll be dubbed. I want digimon now! Having new running seasons brings up writing morale plus I can't get enough of the series. I liked all four of them although I do have preferences to which ones are better. No matter the case, digimon's popularity in my opinion is low and hopefully with the arrival of a new season everyone, whether they be an 8 year old kid or adults like us will get into it once again.
