(W00t, I can hold a speech again! *dances*)
Well, well, well...
A few "new" names, a few "old" names. I guess that's cool.
I'll be one of the last guys to judge people because of how long they have been around. I got the Admin position less than a year after joining this place (Red Rover's BDSM contest, anyone?), that's about as weird as it gets. If people asked me, I couldn't say for sure if I got my global "oldbie" rank before or after becoming Admin. Judging by my first year as Admin, I'd vote for the latter. And heck, even now I'm not as hardcore-oldbie as some people.
I got the "job" because of a few reasons, opportunity certainly being one of them. However, a couple of other (and more important) things factored in. I showed determination and skill. I wanted this site to continue. And Togashi had faith in me.
I guess it's time that I do this Leap of Faith thingy now.
You guys managed to set this gig up all by yourselves, basically. Yes, there has been guidance in this thread, but the main part is your doing. That's a lot. It's more than even I would've hoped for.
I'll have to do some cleaning up now (like compiling and uploading stuff for the new crew), but the list I got in my mail is looking great. I assume the next few steps will be done backstage as we slowly get things moving, so this public thread might slow down a bit.
Oh, and yes, the Donation page went offline a few days ago. That had been done on purpose since the information on it was critically outdated.
