I enjoyed the story. Devi's transformation was entertaining. Craw felt like a Disney villain to be honest though. He got what he deserved, but jeez, what an ass.

I have only one question though, what was up with that original Guardian. Why did she give her power up? Was she a ghost, really old, or was it magic?

Though seriously, broken plot device. She did explain that their race takes on forms human can see because they presumably cannot manifest their own selves in the same realm, thus they pick out humans in order to carry out their wills, knowing they'll protect nature with their lives.
