I enjoyed my cheesy line as well. I thought it up when I burned myself lighting a firework :D
I don't really know why she is homeless or how she enrolled in lessons; I really just needed a reason for them to move in together.
Lighting the guy on fire... Uh... hmmm.... I honestly can not explain why nobody cares about the guy. I wouldn't mess with a guy who just impaled a guy's head with his fingers then lit him on fire, so I guess that's how the rest of the bar felt.
As for the nit-picking of my writing, I really enjoy it! Please continue, it lets me know that somebody is reading closely.
