Symbolism Examination
#9
Sigh...it's been awhile and very few posts.
I'll go ahead with my examination, and by the way, most furries and people who date online WOULD find this sad and depressing.
First of all...
The glass and the markers/crayons/chalk/whatever represents the internet.
The fact that they're furries represents the internet from a furry perspective.
When they touch the glass, that means they had sort of a taste of real life. Like a phone call or a one day meet, or something like that.
When he breaks the glass, that means he wants to meet her in real life.
In my interpretation, since this is taking a realism stand point... he succeeds.
Only, because he succeeds at meeting in real life, he lost his former type of expression, which is represented by his hand getting the fuck diced out of it. (not cut off, like a lot of people think) This theory is also reinforced by the fact that he writes, "I can't anymore" in a screwed up manner.
So, in my representation, they have met by this point.
Going onward, in what I took out of this, she too had lost this form of expression when they met. She did, however, show him that there is another way to express yourself in real life, I.E. the off hand. I forget what, but there was something important about the fact that the blue guy is left handed...but for the life of me, I can't remember what.
