Yes, it did.
A demo will be buggy, but I disagree that it is supposed to be bad and unpolished. A demo is indicative of a final product. Of course details will change, but a demo should still fairly accurately represent the gameplay. A demo is made from what the game is made of, if certain aspects of the demo are bad (ie: gameplay) that certainly leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.
On the other hand, if I play a demo with good gameplay, whether there are a few bugs or not, I will most likely give the game a shot. Hell there are demos I play time and time again.
Games are $60, if a company puts out a half assed demo that dosen't represent gameplay, they aren't getting my money, not even for a rental.
