For awhile now I've been noticing odd things that everyone just seems to take as a matter of course in games when really they make absolutely no sense. Mostly this is for rhetorical questions so no need for answers but if there's something any of you can think of please add it to the list.
How come in most RPG's non-sentient monsters have ready to spend money?
How come shooting out a surveillance camera helps with stealth when in reality if a camera went down people would come to investigate?
And as kind of a companion to the last question:
How come in Splinter Cell all the alarms in all the countries sound the same?
