Why the humans?

I agree, I think Digimon are more interesting by far.

But for those that prefer the guys/girls, is there any particular reason you prefer the digimon characters over characters in other cartoons? Or is Digimon just one of a plethora of human specimens you like

Personally, I'm drawn to their scenario, particularly season 1 and season 4, the stranded seasons. They're destined to be the heroes for a world that hasn't been corrupted by modern society. They are the innocence of youth, and they band together to keep the ideal. While there, they make friendships, and we can only assume, romances.
