Wise: has a high ideal, is looking for a perfect woman in his terms, thinks of himself as romantic.

Wise's way is, let's say, quaint, pretty much like in old times where guys used to do all kind of things to seduce women, because their relationship may, hopefully, be consumated in the night of their wedding.

Yep, that pretty much covers it. I remember for the few months I thought I had a girlfriend, I took the day off on Valentine's Day. I risked my dining hall privileges to bring her cups of soft serve and toppings at noon. We ate in the hallway. When I attempted to kiss her, she pushed me away, but I thought that was just a temporary thing.

Exactly one month later, just over three years ago, I figured it out. I think that was the moment when I became less naive about the whole love thing, but I still try to hold out hope. I still don't want to throw myself at just anyone.
