Shows based on pop and J-pop acts, are they good?

Well, in the case of Puffy Ami Yumi's animated series (we just add the "Hi Hi" part to the name), I think we have a winner here!

BTW, if you wanna debate about whether or not other bands or artists should have a series on cable or FTA, let me know which one(s) and what network you want it on.

PS. Come on Shonen Knife, what are you waiting for, we're still waiting on your new animated series based on you!
PPS. Also, still waiting for that Winx Club/Eiffel 65 crossover!

Since "Weird Al" already had his own show, I guess next on my list would be "Dexter" Holland. He's a punk with honor, and a BS in microbiology. I think it would be interesting.

No, he's The Offspring's lead singer. Some stuff about him: Loser in high school, got the nickname "Dexter" for being a Poindexter, class valedictorian, his wife died, he just flew his private jet around the world, solo.

God, I hate Eifel 65, and most techno.

And I had an idea doing a show with a Pink Floyd soundtrack, but it would be for atmosphere. It would be a show about a guy who is the lead of a band who is having moderate success then gets into crap like drugs. The last episode owuld have Shine On You Crazy Diamond I-V as it shwos how fucked up he became. It would be based loosely on Syd Barrett.
