Feeling.. Old. - SnK - 09-14-2010

A night ago before retiring to bed, I said my prayers and took sometime to reflect on things.

I came to a realization that I am a Digimon fan for almost a decade now, along with a fellow veteran fan, Digistar DBZ. I grew up tuned from 01 to 04, and probably I don't see myself not letting go of it anytime soon. (With Savers and Xros Wars recently aired.) Perhaps you could say I am veeery attached to Digimon. I had my Pokemon days before that but it quickly waned down after playing Yellow And Silver.

With that fact, I chuckled at the idea of paralleling myself to a grandpa, or rather one of the old generation of Digimon fans. It's like I am somewhat an old guy watching over the enthusiastic new breed of Digimon fans.

Sometimes I wish I could turn back time and relive my early teenager years. Only to once again to savor what was it like to be part of a younger generation.

I think I was 9, 10 or 11 when I watched my last 01 episode. My town's main channel was cut off and replaced by some place which only had Cartoon Network in it, so I said goodbye to Digimon soon as Angemon said: "I'm sorry, TK..." after having defeated Devimon. I cried. For both seeing static replace that episode and for Angemon's death.

People with DirecTV or Sky kept telling me about 02, but I wasn't able to watch it. I really wanted to, but I never was able ._. I played the PS1 video games instead. That kind of satisfied me for a while.

One day at my cousin (Who has DirecTV), I caught an episode of Tamers and was like "Wow, third season..." never again was able to watch another episode. The event repeated itself but this time I was seeing Frontier instead. Yeah, I was never able to watch the seasons...

Then I found DaD around the end of 2005. Fuck- only in the span of three years did I fully watch 01, 02, Tamers and Frontier. I never watched Savers 'cause I didn't like it personally. Even the video game sucked.

Bleh... At least I kept faithful with the PS1 video games ever since 01 went boom. Regardless... grandpa! *Jumps on SnK's lap and crushes him under several tons worth of dragon* :D

Good God, I must've been eight, maybe seven when I first caught the first episode of Digimon I've ever seen (Digimon Adventures, Epiode 3) in terrible, terrible Filipino-English dubs. X3 It was late at night too, past my bed-time, so I never got to watch the rest. The first Digimon season I watched fully was season 3, and I loooved it. X3

Don't worry SnK! X3 Everyone has feelings of nostalgia very now and then.

I was born in the 80's. I don't remember much as my known memories go back to my 3rd birthday party. But, I don't say much about how long I've been with shows. I just continue on.

I didnt watch Savers too!, did you read Next? it was kind of okey, and has a blue dog thats isnt a yesman!

I am 28, I saw my first Digimon episode in Fox kids about ten-eleven years ago... It was the Adventure one where they defeat Devimon, Patamon death and reborn as an egg touched me.

I feel old too. I recently listed a lot of my Digimon action figures and Digivices on Ebay, made a good profit too, but there are some items I'm keeping, like the Digi-Battle cards, and my Warp Digivolving BlackWarGreymon, and my Digimon the Movie DVD, and my Patamon plushie, and many others. Life goes on, but that doesn't mean that we forget what we loved.

Me too, on occasion.

When I was a kid, I used to love waking up early and watching all the cool shows they had on Saturday Mornings back in the day. I believe I was ten when Digimon first aired on FOX around my town. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't really until Tamers that I was really hooked in to the series. Still good times though, and it was definitely one of the shows I made sure to watch back then.

Bleh, I feel kind of old now too. Saturday Mornings really haven't been the same in a long time. I actually don't have that much digimon stuff except for some of the trading cards I bought for cheap (including LadyDevimon <3), and I played a few of the Digimon World games, but don't have them anymore.

Eh, the only Digimon memories from my childhood are watching season 01 once in a while. Back then, it was generally seen as the "Stupid Pokemon Ripoff", among all the kids my age. Never really saw it at all until late 2006 when I found porn of it, which led me to DHZ, which led me here :P

I caught my first Digimon marathon when they were running the arc of the return to the human world and the whole thing was a hype up to the first time we saw Mega Level good guys...Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon of course. I was hooked as of that marathon and never looked back.

I forgot how old I was when I watched digimon. But all that I'm pretty sure I'm older than half you guys here(no offense though some of my friends in here are a little younger than me). xD I loved the old seasons of 2 and 3. 5 is pretty good too. 1 Is good though I like the ones I've already mentioned.

I became big fans both digimon, pokemon(not the anime anymore the games aren't interesting anymore besides Soul Silver Platium) and monster rancher.
