My computer vomited - Jack_Pholph - 10-05-2011

wensday morning at 5:33 am, my mac decided it would be funny to delete 14 gigs of files, including games, possibly my spore files, all my music, a couple important applications, 6 gigs of porn, and assorted other files. I am less than happy about it:
I HATE MACS, just when you get a good setup going, it destroys it, at least with a pc it would delete all of your files, but macs just leave you with an incomplete husk what it once was. I'm going to weep in a corner now.

NOOOO!!! Not the PORN!!!

But, yeah. At least PCs are more efficient killers ^^ You should upgrade so you aren't just maimed next time.

Adym already did my joke. So I don't know what to say, just that I hope you can get it fixed.

I'm not too personal with the Mac OS systems, but I will agree that Windows has been reliable in that area so far in not auto-deleting files. I've only had one instance of it happening and it was when AVG read some pics as viruses and removed them but it didn't delete, just copied and saved to a new file and deleted the infected ones... Windows 7, although it was strange at first, is a decent OS that works well if you do decide to get a new PC.

I do hope you get it fixed still. Sorry it had to happen though :/

I know the feeling. (Wait...No I don't...)

But that does suck. You know how Windows has a System Restore feature? I'm pretty sure Mac OS has the same type of thing. So, if it does, then maybe you could recover your files. Idk, I had a MacBook for about a year before I dropped it down the stairs by accident.

But, the next time that happens, just tell your computer that your going to kick it to the moon if it does that again.

But...Perhaps there is an option to turn of this newly found "Auto Delete" feature.
