Storm over Haiti - Digivolved - 08-06-2011
Haiti has just been deluged with rain and towns have been flooded.
It is a suprise (maybe not) that so many people are still living in tents made of bed sheets!
Millions of dollars were sent over a year ago to rebuild homes for these people. Building homes is a lot cheaper in Haiti than it is here in the U.S., and yet these sheet towns remain.
I pray for the people of Haiti, and I hope the world gets them some help soon as hurricaine season is gearing up again!

When the polar ice caps melt, Haiti will be gone completely, so not much point in rebuilding.

I'd prefer to reallocate those funds to more important areas, like Nuclear Fusion Reactor research.

Sadly, it doesn't matter. It's just a planetal cycle that'll end in another ice age. We're barely heating up the planet at all, it's just a cyclical process that's happened 4 or 6 times already.
First, the planet heats up quite a lot, then it cools down and chills into an ice age.
